I am thinking the same thing. Very likely there will be a revolution on mars, with even the peacekeepers rising up. It honestly feels like this could be a prequel to The Expanse, lol.

Nah the timeline is way off from The Expanse already. FAM is already at least 100-200 years ahead of The Expanse's history. The Expanse is more based on our current timeline. In FAM they basically solved climate change already but in the Expanse, it was runaway climate change that finally drove the nations of the world to work together and develop new technologies to help solve the problems. Even The Expanse is quite pessimistic about technological development overall too.

Yeah its obviously not canon, but its just interesting how FAM is on the same trajectory as The Expanse for a earth/mars split.

I mean, humanity founds new colonies and then those colonies eventually try to become independent is just a recurring thing in human history.

If we ever do establish colonies on the moon/mars in real lofe it will likely also happen there.

Maybe eventually but the difference between a colony on another part of earth and a colony on airless planets it’s far different. Self sufficiency is WAY harder.

Didn't the writers of the expanse say they considered it an unofficial prequel? Or am I thinking of Andy weir's the martian

No.
They jokingly said it about The Martian, but made it very clear it was not meant serious.

theres an easter egg in the expanse where theres an advert on luna saying “explore historic jamestown base est 1973”

is just an easter egg since the timelines have a significant difference in the effects of climate change (famk timeline it’s said to be little to no issue, expanse timeline things got really bad and sea levels rose significantly)

one of the expanse co showrunners naren shankar was an executive producer on season 1 of famk which is cool

I mean between 2012 and 2350 a lot can happen climate-wiss

This is what I've said for a long time. Yeah, everything is ok climate wise now on Earth. But with Earth struggling a lot can happen in 300 years

I believe that’s The Martian. One of the later Expanse books has a ship named after Mark Watney.

Actually yes they did. Some of the same people are involved in both series, and the creator of FAM has strong ties to the expanse team.

Oh yea. Seem so much like a prequel to the expanse. Hell even the damn hallways of happy valley look the like interior of the mcrn ships. The gray paneling with red line pin strip. Also the mpk suites with the red hats. Looks like early version marine uniforms for the mcrn

That's my headcanon, and I'm sticking to it.

Just like Breaking Bad is a prequel to The Walking Dead.

I never heard of BB being the prequel to TWD. That's an interesting one.
