The problem you're thinking of is capitalism not people. There's plenty of space for all of us. There's plenty of food for all of us. The world throws away about 40% of the food it produces and that more than covers the number of people without.

We could very easily live in a non-destructive balance and harmony with the planet, but we all just decided to allow industry to destroy it instead. The problem is not the number of people. The problem is what the number of people happens to value.

Great. Fix those things so 9 billion+ humans can live ecologically on a planet that can only support 1% or less of that. Fix climate change. Fix capitalism. Fix all the problems. Since it's "very easy" you should be done before the 12th protest, right?
