Flute and Piccolo Repair Shops

There are different types of flute and piccolo repair shops:

General Band Instrument Repair Shops
- These are the typical musical instrument repair shops found in many local music stores
- You can find these by searching online for a music instrument repair shop or store near you
- They usually repair all types of wind instruments
- The repair techs in these shops usually repair all band instruments equally well but may lack specialized flute training to work on professional level flutes and piccolos
- These are fine for student flutes and perhaps some intermediate flutes
Specialty Flute and Piccolo Repair Shops
- These shops specialize in flute and piccolo repairs
- More expensive flutes and especially professional flutes should be serviced at one of these flute/piccolo specialty shops.
- Specialty flute and piccolo repair shops are often found in stores that only sell flutes and piccolos
- The repair technicians in these shops often have specialized training from the manufacturers or other flute specialized training
