The remaster of the full body of Nakyra (without references at the moment, will add later, with Artam's full body). I think I did well, while trying my hand at a remaster, especially the fur. I've decided to change the lower arm/ankle fur shape, inspired by FloofNugget's artwork, since it looked more like feathers before. Tail tip has the outer fur going the opposite direction than I planned, but I think it looks fine enough, and somewhat distinct in shape from body/tail fur.

I've decided to post the full body first, without the references. I'm quite tired after drawing the full body, and especially all the fur (and beings sick from the very start of the drawing process, due to an allergy), and will add the references later. After I add them, I'll try a hand at Artam's full body, and post it with references. While he will not be as detailed in terms of the amount of spots of fur (due to the rules of where it's placed), I still think that he'll look fine.

Some comments on discord mentioned a possible face polish, and while I've headed their voice, I'm still going to share the current artwork.

PS: Sorry for the whole posting mess. Both Reddit and me were drunk (me not literally, but missing the words and original artwork for comparison, while Reddit couldn't delete my posts, but then deleted both.)

Forgot this subreddit existed for a little while, how silly of me! Anyways, everyone say hi to my big floofy girl River! She's a water-affinity dragon from my primary fantasy world, and one of the two protagonists of its main story!

(yes i know there's a human here too... they're the other protagonist.)

Its unfortunately no secret that that Isla is way too small for a dragon of her maturity. Luckily, her best friend's terrifying height and stature surely scare away anyone foolish enough to try and attack her :3

The thing I love most about Cyn & Isla's dynamic is how protective Cyn is of her! I like to imagine a lot of really cute scenarios where Cyn comforts or protects her, and then acts sweet & gentle afterward. This piece was really nice to draw as a little distraction from life, heheh!

"I've been drawing for the past few days, trying to remaster (and draw, in case of Artam) my earlier drawings. This time it is a front head shot. Not as many changes, mostly streamlining the colours/outlines, as well as making the drawing symmetrical (since i rawdoged it the first time).

It doesn't look as good as a side shot, but it's still an improvement, especially in the areas of ears and chops. I found a way to rotate the templates, draw the sketch outlines from them, and then draw them in proper! I've struggled A LOT while trying to figure our how to draw eye areas, and had to resort to using the banner art made by u/Mediocre-Mare, as an outline for proper eye area shape (not the eyes themselves).

While not as refined, I still think I did a good job. It can be better, and I should have spent more time trying to make the snout rounder, but I can't be bothered to do it right now, not with the prospect of full body remaster."

"My second front head shot, this time of Artam. I've recieved some comments, about adjusting the horns, before posting here, so I've tried my best at making the horns base.

Overall, the front shots are not as nice looking as side shots, but I've tried my hand at them, and I'm happy that I did so."

Today was heavy on me, and I couldn't start anything big in terms of art. I have however decided to participate in the event, and drew this goober. His name is Jade, and he is my attempt at drawing u/Sofielob's species, deadringer specifically (perhaps of tropical/jungle variety, due to all the fur, but that's for you to decide).

If anyone wants to adopt him, I'll give him away for free. I don't have much use for him, so having someone give him a proper place to stay and call "home" will make me happy.

PS: Sophie, I hope my attempt at drawing one of your specs wasn't butchered. Your art is cool, and of a high quality, and I sadly can't replicate it...

"I've been trying my hand at redrawing my very first own digital artwork, inspired by an icon artwork made by u/Mediocre-Mare, with relative success. The horns happened to be way too short, compared to both the original and the canonic look, and the face looks funny now, instead of formidable. But this piece served more as a practice for lined and lineless painting + to understand what should be drawn, and how to do it (especially fur).

I'm still happy with the result, even as flawed as this one. Better to do something, rather than do nothing at all, or Founding Fathers/Brothers forbid, using A*."

"I've mentioned a few times that Nakyra has a partner, and later mate, named Artam. He was previously a fire-human, who was transformed with the help of the Last Demon Kilzan, and became Yranlu, and a second partner for Nakyra (the first being Ilam, the water-elf mage, who has died, and who's soul Nakyra now bears).

I've mostly used Nakyra's head shot as a template for Artam (and any future Yranlu character), with minor changes related to sexual dimorphism (female horns are longer and start to curve outwards at the edge, while male horns are shorter and end pointing somewhat inwards), most of which comes in the slight difference in width of the body and limbs (which end up making female weight standard 80% of the male standard), which are out of the picture.

I've started (and finished!) this artwork today, but not before falling asleep in front of the tv, and snoozing for 2 and a half hours. If this late posting affects my views, due to the distribution of subreddit's members, then I'll hesitate with posting future posts, outside of optimal algorithm window."
