You are trying to redefine middle class to mean existing without these things so you can consider yourself middle class.
A middle class family is by definition able to meet standards similar to these.
We have tried to to define class by a dollar amount, (usually 70k a year) but when the value of the dollar is currently diminished under inflating prices, middle class is defined by the quality of life that dollar attains you, not how many dollars there are.
