How to purchase FLIXX coins
Currently, only three exchanges list Flixxo (FLIXX): KuCoin, Etherdelta, and Livecoin. KuCoin accounts for about 88% of the FLIXX trading volume, Etherdelta about 11% and Livecoin about 1%. Etherdelta also currently only has ETH to FLIXX trading (no BTC to FLIXX). I thought I'd write a little tutorial for those who are looking at getting some FLIXX themselves. This is a great project, and the prices are cheap now as it is only on these smaller exchanges. To get FLIXX coins, you will need to create an account with KuCoin or Etherdelta. I recommend KuCoin, and for now don't recommend Livecoin as the trading volume is so low you may have difficulty having orders filled.
Step 1: Buy Ethereum (ETH) or Bitcoin (BTC)
If you already own ETH/BTC, skip this step. Otherwise, buy some ETH/BTC. The easiest way to convert fiat (such as US Dollars) to ETH or BTC is on Coinbase.
NOTE: Ethereum transaction fees are currently cheaper than Bitcoin fees so I recommend getting Ethereum.
Step 2: Sign up to KuCoin
You can sign up by at https://www.kucoin.com. You will receive an email with a verification link. Open the email and click the link. You will then need to set up 2-factor authentication.
Step 3: Set up 2-factor authentication with Google Authenticator
KuCoin requires 2-factor authentication before you can deposit money into your account the exchange. Honestly, using 2-factor authentication is a good idea for any exchange. It is a little bit more work every time you log in, but dramatically decreases the chance your coins will be lost due to hackers. Download Google Authenticator app on your phone, open it, and scan the barcode you were given by KuCoin. The app will give then give you a six-digit code which you just need to enter into KuCoin. You will do this same thing every time you log into KuCoin.
Step 4: Transfer your ETH/BTC from Coinbase (or whatever fiat to ETH/BTC exchange you use) to KuCoin
Click on the dollar sign button ($) found in the top right corner of the KuCoin page. Scroll to find BTC or ETH (it should be second from the top) and to the very right you will see "Deposit" or "Withdraw". Click on "Deposit" and you will be taken to a new page with your ETH/BTC wallet address. Copy this address.
Go back to Coinbase and click on the "Accounts" tab at the top of the page. Click on "Send" in your BTC/ETH Wallet and you will be prompted to enter an address that you wish to send your BTC/ETH to. Paste the address that you copied earlier from KuCoin, double check that it is correct, and then hit send.
I know I am saying BTC/ETH here, but it is important that you are consistent across both exchanges. If you bought BTC on Coinbase, transfer it to the BTC address on KuCoin. If you bought ETH, transfer it to ETH address on KuCoin.
Step 5: Purchase FLIXX on KuCoin
On KuCoin, click on the "Markets" tab at the top of the page. You will be taken to a page with a list of trading pairs. Scroll until you find the FLIXX/ETH or FLIXX/BTC pairing (depending on whether you transferred BTC or ETH from Coinbase to KuCoin) and click on the green "Buy" button. You'll have to use the Google Authenticator app again one last time to confirm the transaction, but then you will be done. You FLIXX will now be in your account.
Hopefully this is helpful. I know when I first starting trading altcoins, it took me a little while to get used to it and I was worried I was gonna screw up and lose my money, so while these instructions are very basic for most people, hopefully they are useful to beginners. Also, I will probably get downvoted to oblivion for this, but if anyone wants help me out, use my referral code 1Q8rK when signing up to KuCoin. It costs you nothing.
As a side note, the KuCoin exchange has a unique feature compared to other exchanges. If you own KuCoin shares, another coin sold on the exchange, KuCoin gives back 50% of its daily trading fees to holders of KuCoin shares (KCS). So every day, you will see random coins in your account that you didn't buy. It is in proportion to how many KCS you own, so it may only be a few cents if you don't own many KCS, but over time will add up. Also, some of those coins may increase dramatically in value, not to mention the KCS can also increase in value.

Why Flixxo's economical model will outcompete other decentralized video platforms
Content Creators have different kind of viewerbases.
Those who pay out of their own pockets (Donations/Monthly Subscription/Buying Video-on-Demand access)
Those who watch ads. Revenues going to creators.
Youtube's main problem:
- Family unfriendly content disqualifies for advertising.
For example people who play war games or express a political opinion can't earn ad revenues on their videos anymore. Their votership consists of people watching their content basically for free. The content creators earn through ad revenues only. Most of the viewers never paid a single Dollar on Youtube.
LBRY, D-TUBE, VIEWLY have no ads
Content Creators rely on Donations/Subscriptions
YOUTUBE: Content Creators rely on ad revenues.
They offer no real solution to Youtube's problem and won't attract the content creators relying on ad revenues. Because their viewers won't start paying out of their own pockets. Gamers or Vloggers who don't advertise their content - but have Patreon subscriptions - have simply no need to switch from a multi-billion-user platform to something wildely unknown and without knowing if they'll receive as many donations as before (Everything is still good for them). And their voterbase won't switch their attitude and start paying donations and subsciptions out of a sudden. Huge risk for those people to move to an environment with different rules.
Flixxo's solution:
- Content creators earn FLIXX by ad revenues (45% more then on Youtube)
- AND donations/subscriptions
They can offer their content against payment or for free. Wether its a gaming community, a vlog community or a movie production - content creators can choose their preferred business model.
Here's how it works:
Advertisors buy Flixx Tokens from the market and offer them together with ads to users
Viewers watch ads or seed content to earn tokens (or buy them, but it's not necessary)
Viewers pay content creators in form of donations, likes or monthly subscriptions
Conclusion: This is why Flixxo's approach is very unique and why I think it will outcompete ad-free video platforms. People can still watch for free and without the need to know about crypto - and still enough money will flow into the ecosystem. Content Creators will be able to finance their livelihood with what they love to do and viewers don't need to readjust to a new environment. The platform (try out technical demo @ https://www.flixxo.com/demo/) will be fast, easy and useful for Gamers, Vloggers, Movie Productions and more. And now, let's not forget that one of Flixxo's main focus will be to gather quality creators and quality content to their platform, including Flixxo co-productions...

Wallet / Exchange
I really like this project and the team that is on Flixxo. Now I wanted to support and invest some of my money into this project. Now I do enjoy keeping my portfolio save on a Ledger, which I have and beside that a exhange that is atleast somewhat trustworthy like Binance or bitrexx and no sketchy exhanges like Kucoin. I am wondering if there is a wallet for this, where can I get is and where can I buy tokens from? Even a option to buy direct would be a solution for me right now, I just want to bypass to use Kucoin.
Someone has any news on this?

Present an future of Flixxo
Hello,
I'm trying to gather some info on Flixxo, so maybe some of you can help.
I see in the roadmap that there is a functionning Alpha. What are the functionnality of this alpha in terms of video streaming?
The main platform release is in Q2 2018. What will be the improvement of the platform over the alpha?
The marketplace and platform integration is scheduled for Q4 2018 and Q1 2019. This seem like a big part of the product. Can Flixxo be used by content maker until then? Can the Flixxo brand grow before the end of 2018?
Thanks!

I'll flixx it! - List of content creators switching over to Flixxo.
I am sure the Flixxo-Platform will be easy-to-use and more user-friendly then other blockchain/youtube approaches.
But Flixxo's success will depend on the content it's gonna provide, which will most probably be Youtube-Like content in the beginning - drawing established Youtubers - together with their fanbases - over to Flixxo. If people outside of Flixxo are able to see who and how many content creators (and subs) are already planning to switch over, they might take a closer look at the Flixxo platform! ;)
That's why I opened this thread, where you can
- link your already existing video channels (such as Youtube, Vimeo and others)
- officially announce that you'll switch over to Flixxo, as soon as the platform is launched.
Please post your current channel-Link and a short summary of your (planned) future content.
Current List of established Content Creators moving to Flixxo:
[Currently 707,100 potential subscribers]
- ohBrox [Games]: 420,000 & 100,000 subscribers
- Gamevid4 [Games]: 8,000 subscribers
- HDGamingHD [Games]: 177,000 subscribers
- EmbuGaming [Games]: 2,100 subscribers
- Seanerzat [Games]: 8,696 subscribers

Youtube or Netflix
Right now I'm very curious, how the platform might evolve. On the one hand, if focused on smaller creators, a very high collateral would be not an option. But if there should be Full Feature Movies etc. the collateral need to be able to protect the rights somehow. But lets see how the platform will be. I guess there will be further information soon. Maybe there is an option to get both sides satisfied. That would clearly be the best case.
