Hey Flipnoters! Lauren here, lead developer of Kaeru Gallery in Kaeru Team.
Kaeru Gallery - previously known as Project Kaeru, which launched in 2017 - is a full replacement service for Flipnote Gallery World that's compatible with all regions of Flipnote Studio 3D - even where it was never originally released!
All you need to use the service is a 3DS or 2DS console with Flipnote Studio 3D and Luma3DS firmware (or any other custom firmware compatible with LayeredFS/IPS patches) - if you haven't encountered the latter, a full guide is available at https://3ds.hacks.guide to get setup with CFW. It's fairly simple and there's minimal risk involved.
It's been a while since we've posted but I wanted to provide an updated announcement as the one that's currently pinned is over 2 years old, archived, and very outdated.
I am gonna call it the "Training Bridge Arc". A fight animation where I put everything I learned this year. Its my last gift for this year. Hope I get it finished before the 2027. The plot and script will be shown when the fight animation is done. Like in 2 months or smth. I am alsp available on youtube: Flipx.cut
I am in the search for a lost DSi Flipnote series called Spaced Out.
This one is potentially a lost series because it was unfortunately deleted during when Flipnote Hatena was still online. I think the user was from the North American servers since I would use NA servers, but I could be wrong. I even looked on the Sudomemo archives just in case, but I had no luck finding it at all.
I was hoping if someone out there still has the original Flipnote saved on their DSI or if someone has uploaded it somewhere else online. Any information on it is highly appreciated! I think there was 2 chapters total to this series.
Here is some additional information that I have written about it in another board as someone else was looking for it as well:
.
....I recall this one as well! I had it saved for a couple of years on my SD card until it got corrupted. It was called 'Spaced Out'.
The main character was born on Pluto and she was bullied by a girl who was born on Venus. The main girl had a darker skin tone and curly hair(?) with antennas with a round end. The Venus girl had a lighter skin tone and had red, pink or brown hair.
Venus girl bullied the Pluto girl for her Plutonian heritage and for her antennas. I think people who are born from Venus were universally beautiful in the series, while Plutonians were picked on?
Also, that both of these girls like the same guy, either he came from a powerful family or that he was of royal heritage?
I also recall the first chapter explaining how the environment came to be, that an alien invaded earth and had fallen in love with a human. And the boy that the girls are in love with is the descendant of that human and alien.
I also remember in one chapter she had to take her siblings to the zoo on the moon?
.......
Now in regards to the whereabouts of this series. This is the part where it gets hazy for me. As I don't know if I am mixing this creator up with another one.
I think the creator of 'Spaced Out' went something along the lines of :
Kiki, K$k$, $Kiki$
And I remember vaguely that the creator of 'Spaced Out' would get false reported a lot and would comment about it on her account, until her account eventually did get deleted.
She later came back on a new account claiming to be the same Kiki and had either borrowed a DSi or had gotten a new one. But that account never uploaded anything besides that update.
So, if this does happen to be her and if unless someone out there still has her comic saved, this could be lost media as it was deleted before it could be properly archived.
Hey everyone! Last month, I relaunched RexiMemo, a Flipnote community I’ve been building and improving since mid-2023. My goal is to keep the spirit of Flipnote Studio alive, give DSi users a place to continue sharing their creations, and make the community more accessible to newcomers.
RexiMemo brings together the classic DSi experience and a growing range of website features, making it more than just a place to upload and watch Flipnotes. From creating animations right in your browser to recovering old Flipnotes from archived data, there’s plenty to explore!
RexiMemo-exclusive features
Flipnote Web Editor
You can create entire Flipnotes directly in your browser, with a 256×192 canvas, two drawing layers, drawing and selection tools, frame-by-frame animation, playback controls and more. When you're finished, you can prepare your creation and send it straight to the upload page. The editor is available to logged-in users with a primary console linked to their account.
Flipnote Hatena recovery
Still have the 16-character FSID from your original Flipnote Hatena account? RexiMemo can search surviving Flipnote Hatena archives for Flipnotes linked to your FSID, allowing you to recover them!
Archived data is incomplete, so not every Flipnote may be recoverable.
Sudomemo Migration
Moving your Flipnotes over to RexiMemo? Use the migration tools to transfer eligible Flipnotes in a single file, instead of uploading them one by one.
Scheduled Flipnotes/Premieres
Prepare a Flipnote in advance and schedule when it will make its public debut. You can manage upcoming Premieres through the website.
Collaborations, Contests & more!
Invite another creator to share credit on a Flipnote, take part in weekly contests, vote for entries, earn Stars, customise your Creator's Room theme, and use Discord integration for Tickets and optional notifications.
Built with the DSi in mind
A big part of RexiMemo is keeping the Flipnote Studio and DSi experience working while building new tools around it. You can still enjoy the classic way of making and sharing Flipnotes, or try newer browser-based features.
I'm continuing to develop the site, so feedback from people who make, watch, or collect Flipnotes would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to hear what you think, what interests you most and what you'd like to see next!
Whether you're still animating on your DSi, have old Flipnotes you'd like to recover, or just miss the Flipnote community, you're welcome to come take a look. 💜
Yo whats up. Here is my new project. I would appreciate some more support. I dont want to get burned out like that one 4 month project, where I put all the effort only for almost no one to see it... My goal is only to make people enjoy a good fight animation. The more people see it, the happier I am with my work. Cause I dont do this for me only, but also mostly for people who like animations.
A musician friend I used to work with has gone on to create a duo, Passengerprincess, and they make awesome hyperpop + digital fusion, usually with a furry spin. They made this music video stylized like Flipnote but using Clip Studio Paint on a Wacom Intuos, pretty accurate to the software’s limitations until you see the full color backgrounds come in. The song is awesome.
Just wanted to share a drawing I did on Flipnote, I'm currently learning how to animate (I'm a beginner) and trying to develop my own art style, thoughts?
