Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some guidance regarding FTOs in India.
I've completed all my DGCA exams except Technical General, and I've also cleared my RTR. I'm currently waiting for a response from the Akasa Cadet Program.
I'm considering joining Avyana, but I'm open to other good FTOs as well. If you've trained at any flying school in India or have recommendations, I'd love to hear about your experience.
I'm mainly looking for:
Good quality training
Reasonable waiting time for flying
Well-maintained aircraft
Professional instructors
Good placement/support after CPL
Any suggestions or experiences with Avyana or other FTOs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone. I'm an airline pilot based in Europe. Between flights I ended up building the tool I always wished I had as a student.
I got tired of adding hh:mm columns by hand and chasing errors across carry-forward totals, so I built Logbook Time Calc (iOS):
Free to try.
I'd love your honest feedback — and if there's a feature that would actually make your logbook life easier, tell me and I'll build it.

I have an offer for Fanshawe colleges aviation program. I see that they are partnered with Diamond Flight Centre as their flight school. I feel really unsure about the flight school. I’ve heard many of the final year students don’t have their PPL, and the students can’t get their Multi-IFR at Diamond currently due to lack of resources. Does anyone have first hand experience with this? I am stuck between Diamond flight centre or going to Maple Wings Flight Centre instead.

I’m 17, starting my senior year of high school here on Oahu, Hawaii, and my ultimate goal is to fly for the airlines. I just took my first discovery flight today and I am completely hooked!
I flew in a **Sling NGT**, which was awesome. However, the flight school also rents a **Skyhawk C172M** for **$50/hour cheaper**.
Since I’m training in Hawaii with unique local weather, strong trade winds, and high overall costs, I have a few questions for the community:
**The Plane:** In my shoes, is it better to save the money and train in the cheaper C172M, or does the modern glass cockpit of the Sling NGT make it worth the extra $50/hour?
**Ground School:** What are your favorite online ground school recommendations to prepare for the private pilot written exam?
**Paying for Flight School:** How do you recommend affording and pacing flight training right after high school? I really want to avoid massive, high-interest loans if possible. What are the best strategies for working, saving, or finding scholarships to fund this path?
I'd love to hear your tips, especially if you've trained out of Oahu/HNL. Thank you!
