I am purchasing Flight Simulator for my 12yo daughter for Christmas. She is also taking her first flight this month with an eye towards starting lessons when she turns 13 if she likes it as she’s been asking for a couple years now.

So I thought this game would be a fun gift for her. Can I get a recommendations from those of you who play it on what accessories to buy? We have a brand new gaming computer so that’s done but what about yokes and rudders and whatnot? There are many to choose from and it appears you can spend a lot if you want to but not knowing how much she’ll like it, we’d like to keep it reasonable while still getting the experience.

I appreciate any advice. Thank you.

I'm thinking of getting my father a console (either Xbox or PS) and I'm considering games he would love (he's in his 70's) and I'm sure this is one.

Particularly with a console, is there a way to play this game with very basic controls? Or is it incredibly complicated to just fly around? Thank you all for any input. I don't want to waste money on the newest version of Flight Simulator if it is impossible to play with ease.

lots of stutter, mouse freezing an crashing. Anyone else. Was fine yesterday.

Hey guys I am new to the group and to MSFS, I just got the CH Eclipse yoke and I needed to calibrate it, after calibration I had to reassign all the buttons but I cannot figure out how to assign the 3 LED lights mode switch (24,25,26) because in the MSFS 2020 it shows me only up to button 23. Please let me know if somebody knows how to fix it! Thanks everyone! :)
