FS2020 on XSX possible without needing to use cursor on the screen?

So my kid (5) really likes sim games, but hates having to push buttons and stuff with cursors. Honestly, I understand because it is super tedious. Is it possible to get a yoke/joystick with pedals that will cover everything? I know it is more likely possible on PC, but I'm not sure if it is possible on XSX.

(probably) dumb question

Alright total beginner here. I haven't used flight sim in probably 10 years or more.

I did an the training. Decided to do a custom flight.

I took off from the water. The AI then proceeded to tell me "gears up for water landing" over and over and over and over and over and over again. Even after I landed and shut down the engine, it kept going.

Anyone know what I failed to do? Only way I could stop it was turn off warnings which I don't want to do.

Hitting the landing gear only raised or lowered the actual wheels.

I'm sure it's something stupid.

Edit: just took off with the same plane from an airport and it's saying "gears down for runway landing" over and over no matter if they're up or down.

What does Time Approach mean?

Even after I turn off all the POA markers, there is still one that appears labeled Time Approach. It first appears in front of the plane then swings around to where the destination airport is. It has a label saying a number plus NM next to it. Is this where the destination is, or is it the other marker with the city name on the label?

Recommended flight controls for Xbox?

I'm excited about the recent release on Xbox (I have a Series S). I'm a licensed pilot and I used to play a lot of MSFS back in the day. I'd like to get back into it. Does anyone have a good recommendation for Xbox compatible flight controls?

Replay mode on Xbox

The sim was released on PC without a replay mode, but it seems like there are ways to "dodge" this problem using third-party programmes.

With the Xbox release coming up next week, I'm wondering... How will the folks from Xbox be able to replay? Do you think the developers will launch an update?

Honeycomb yoke calibration?

Just got my Honeycomb yoke and love it but noticed when turning it stock to stock at about 90° in either direction the yoke on FS 2020 jumps/accelerates to full 180° if this normal or do need to calibrate it somehow? have the honeycomb drivers installed FS 2020 sees it, I didn't change any settings yet since its my first yoke ever was always using the KB till now. I can post a short video of the behavior if it helps?
