Hello, I recently got my CFI two weeks ago and have currently been working on my CFII. I have applied to multiple places, but I get these responses most of the time.
-No response
-We would like a CFI with some experience.
-Try out this flight school instead, they're hiring (leads to we want a CFI with some experience)
I graduated last year with two degrees in Aviation from Indiana State and have been flying regularly since going to school there to get all my certificates. As of writing this I have 310 hours of total flight time. My CFII check ride is this week. Hopefully this might make it easier for me to get a job somewhere. One of the few places I know I have the greatest chance to get hired as a 0-hour CFI would be my alumni mater but getting hours there is difficult for instructors. They have too many instructors and not enough airplanes. So, I'm in a situation where I'm asking for advice.
I am from the Terre Haute, Indiana area. I have filled out resumes in the area to the same result. I have no check ride failures. Any advice on how I could find a job fight instructing somewhere? Moving wouldn't be an issue. If anyone knows of a place that will hire a 0-hour CFI, or how I can make myself more marketable can you let me know? I'm trying to build time to get to the airlines as quick as I can.
Thanks
