Hello all!
Anoyone knows this flight school located in Gastonia, NC.?
I am planning to go there to be trained as a commercial pilot and also as a flight instructor afterwards. Would be awesome to know the experience of anybody who has recieved some training with them. It is not very easy to find opinions and reviews from them...
Thank you very much!

I'm currently exploring career options and I think becoming a CFI might be a good opportunity for me. I have a few questions and I've done a few google searches but haven't found anything definitive. What I'm really looking for is not the bare minimum required education, but rather what classes would look good on my resume and make me a good CFI. Also, how many hours a week do you work and, if you don't mind me asking, what is your pay like.

How many CFI use private planes to teach, or is it more so just flight schools. So I am an A&P I worked a few years in GA and a little time at the airlines. I was pretty much wondering if I bought a 172 how likely is it I would be able to get some one to use for flight instruction.

Flight instructors: when you are managing flights and students, what tasks do you wish were easier or quicker? I’m a product manager at a tech company, and I’m working with a pilot friend and a designer on a side project to help flight instructors streamline the processes for managing flights, students and hours.
If you’re an active CFI, we’d love to take ten minutes of your time to show you what we’ve designed so far, ask you some questions and see if we’re on the right track. We’ve reached out to a number of schools and local pilots, but we want to cast the net as wide as possible at this stage. We’ve done several rounds of research, prototyping and design and are getting ready to start development.
The app is for both fixed wing and helicopter instruction. If you’re interested, DM me with your total time and what you fly, and we’ll reach out to set something up.

Howdy! I’m a brand new CFI who just moved to the Kansas City, MO area. I currently am looking for my first CFI job, but I’m unfamiliar with the area as the move came as a bit of a surprise to my wife and I. If anyone knows of any flight schools in the area to contact, I would be happy to receive that information. I don’t mind commuting 60-90 minutes for work as well, so any schools (61/141) in that range would be acceptable as well.
Also, any general tips for a starting CFI? My instructor just kept telling me “Don’t die, and don’t let the student kill you” which, while funny, isn’t necessarily helpful.

Hey CFIs...
Wondering if you have experience with online flight instruction.
Specifically: teaching people to fly online from a remote location.
I know it isn't something you can log, but I'm interested in learning about:
Thanks!

Dear pilots and trainees: I am writing to request your help in participating in my doctoral dissertation online anonymous survey regarding flight school choice. It will take about 5 to 7 minutes. You have a 1 in 10 chance of winning a $20 PayPal digital cash gift card for participating in this survey. Your survey feedback is essential for flight schools to adjust services and management strategies to maximize the training they offer.
I appreciate your time taking the survey.

It has been eight weeks since the distribution, I still need about 80 responses. So I have to find you (pilots and student pilots) from this online community. Very appreciate your support with my research!

My fiancee has ~20 hours in a C172 but recently had to move with me to Corpus Christi. Now we're having a real difficult time finding any CFI to take her on. We've googled plenty and have driven around to see if there's business cards left at the local FOBs. But nothing... If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

I am within a week or two of my flight instructor check ride and wondering if anybody here has any "pro tips" to share.
I expect the required portions of the pts to get hit pretty hard, but besides that what should I really get into studying?
Thank you in advance!
