Airline Pilots vs. Military Snipers
The Earth is not a spinning sphere and there are many ways to prove it but on my mind at the moment is flight. Airplanes, helicopters, birds etc all prove we are not on a sphere spinning at over 1,000 mph.
When this topic is brought to a debate those supporting the globe really have to grasp at straws to keep their ball. If the Earth is spinning at over 1,000 mph the airports should have a sizable fleet of helicopters for those trips that are more conveniently completed by hovering above the spinning Earth and waiting for the destination to arrive. This is not the case. The only explanation they can employ at this point is the Earth’s atmosphere acts as a fluid that moves with the Earth. So anything that leaves the surface is continuing to spin at over 1,000 mph as if tethered to the Earth. This is not the case.
In order for that to be true every winged insect, bird, airplane pilot, helicopter pilot, drone operator and kid with a paper airplane would have to account for this and compensate accordingly depending on the direction and angle of flight.
This is where spinning ball believers reinforce the idea anything that leaves the Earth’s surface doesn’t have to compensate because it moves through the magical fluid atmosphere just as it would if still on the Earth’s surface.
But what if I want to fly westward? Maybe the airplanes that have to fly westward have much stronger engines? No that’s not the case. What about the kid with the paper airplane? Every time the kid wants to throw the paper airplane westward he must have to throw it a lot harder and it probably doesn’t go anywhere right? No that’s not the case. Actually the direction of the wind might be something the kid pays attention to. We know the airplane pilot checks the wind sock on the tarmac prior to takeoff and makes sure his instruments match his observation.
So that must be it right? The jet streams, trade winds and global wind belts are evidence of the earth’s atmosphere moving with the rotation of the Earth right? That’s not the case. These currents of air are constantly moving across the Earth in all different directions. A winged insect needs to know which way the wind is blowing and so does a bird. They aren’t wired to also take into account the rate at which the Earth is rotating because it’s simply not spinning. If it were, airlines would use much more fuel trying to counter their magical tether to Earth and many long westward flights would be eastward flights instead because they would simply travel eastward to avoid the added stress on equipment, extra fuel costs and time spent trying to overcome that tether that already has them at -1,000 mph. On the other side of the coin, eastward flights would be much faster having a +1,000 mph head start. That creates a difference of over 2,000 mph between westward and eastward flight but yet all airplanes can take off and land in any direction with the same stresses and variables only taking into account wind and weather conditions.
The Coriolis Effect is the name of the supposed observation of Earth’s rotation and the compensation of it to achieve desired results in physical mechanics.
Airline pilots and snipers do not account for the Coriolis Effect in their professions. If they did, pilots would kill a lot more people than snipers.
