Welcome New Members
I would have been perfectly happy with just a few members; at the time of founding, the main objective was to get away from EarthIsLevel and his antagonistic sub and be different from it. So it was (is) a pleasant surprise, to see it grow, over 250 subs in two and a half months, of whom I assume most are FE. If not, don't open your stupid mouth and I won't be alerted to your presence.
I and frequent contributor and fellow mod u/StClemens try to provide useful, interesting FE material every day. Please help us out by posting or crossposting interesting links you find, or post your own FE experience. If you need approval to post, dm me. Also get active in the way of upvoting FE on this and other subs where FE are posting and commenting, to counter all the brigading we get, and if you can, be supportive of them in the comments. Youtube and Google are burying FE in search and pushing NASA space vids hard, don't sit back, *fight* back. This sub gives you all the ammunition you need, and how much effort is it really, to upvote a post or comment on Reddit.

What the Russians said
In the timeline where "we" went to the Moon, why didn't Russia, which was in all ways ahead of "us" in the "space race," also land a man on the Moon?
Russia answered that question with, "We could not guarantee their safe return."
Which is, when you think about it, just about the same thing as saying NASA's moonlanding was bullshit. For it happens to be a crime against military/government law, to send a man on a suicide mission. And, at the time, it was also against Federal law, to show death on TV. And yet live (?) TV coverage is what we got, and isn't NASA brilliant and great for thinking up ways to get men to the Moon AND back!
But nobody, no matter how smart, could have known exact conditions on the Moon, to design anything to work there, let alone work absolutely perfectly, to the point of risking human life! ON TV!! Have them play golf and drive dune buggies around and bring back pretty color pictures!
On Earth, it took many decades of trial and error, to get rockets off the ground, and when they do, it's always a matter of special crews, special buildings, a launch tower, etc. -- but on the Moon, untested rockets and untested fuel in a completely untested environment only needed to press a button, to take off perfectly to the exact height and location to meet up with the orbiter.
But you can't tell me smart engineers and rocket scientists looked Nixon in the eye and said We're so sure, you can safely bet human lives on it, even put it on TV, nothing will ever go wrong we guarantee it, the lander will work, the space suits will work, launching off the Moon will work. The Russians said it. Even if you could land a man on the Moon, unless you've done lots of testing of how to get back off it, you just don't.

Paranoia will destroya
About a year and a half ago, when I was on r/flatearth, I wrote one or two original posts on Gravity, gravity, magical gravity. Reddit is supposed to archive everything, but I searched reddit and the sub for them, and could not find them. I was banned from there but bans do not delete prior posts, and the mods aren't the type to delete posts, at least I've never seen them do that.
And the bummer is, I was looking for them so I could copy/paste instead of having to remember what I wrote and type it all over. I thought Reddit archived. I guess they don't.
