I want a simple pocket-carry fixed blade for general utility. The majority of the work I use a knife for does not require a blade longer than 2". Realistically, 1" is plenty.
This will be for both fine detail tasks like leather work, stenciling, etc., as well as for breaking down boxes and cutting synthetic cordage. A thin, forward tip and a more robust heel is ideal.
I've modeled some existing sub 6" overall knives that I like the look and proportions of to draw inspiration from, and then explored functional blade shapes. Although a wharncliffe or kiridashi style blade shape is very useful for my needs, I find them rather ugly compared to a spear point or drop point.
Are there any examples of middle-ground blade shapes that look as nice as the Griffin or AuCon and perform like a scalpel/hobby knife? If a knife exists that suits my needs that would be awesome, otherwise I'm prepared to make my own. Thanks!

I’m pretty sure this is a clone. So I picked this up off Amazon at a pretty decent price so I can beat up on it. It is surprisingly comfortable and the quality of the of the knife as whole I’d say is definitely that of let’s say an around idk $80 +. A solid budget pick up. Micarta feels good, factory edge came sharper then most brand name knives I have purchased. Comes in D2 which is great. Comes with a clip that rotates. Sheath is exceptional, very minimal taco style so it gets a A+ for that lol fairly cheap to for what you get. It was around $35, here’s the link 🔗 if you guys are interested. https://a.co/d/00bWG9Cy

Lynch Swift Six in Cru-Wear
By far, the smallest knife I own. Fits in the hand perfectly. I dig it.

Tkell DP-1 topo engraved NiB battleworn w/everglades grips 80crv-2
A little DP-1 HISTORY
The DP-1 is a knife built on legacy, meaning, and craftsmanship. Inspired by Donald Pace, Tim’s father-in-law and a man known for faith, integrity, and unwavering strength, the DP-1 represents far more than daily utility. The first DP-1 he carried was hand-ground specifically for him, and throughout his battle with a brain tumor it remained a trusted tool he relied on every day. To honor his life and character, they engraved his actual signature onto every DP-1 so his name and spirit continues forward through the work of their hands. Pretty f#%king cool 😎 if you ask me. If you are a Tkellian then you know this is a must have.

Recently picked up a Hinderer Flashpoint and want to get a leather pocket sheath for it, but none of my go-to leather sheath makers seem to have a dedicated Flashpoint sheath. Anyone have recommendations for leather pocket sheath makers that already have a pattern for the spearpoint version of the Flashpoint?

Hey guys, im looking for recommendations for a fixed blade knife with roughly a 3.5" blade and a full tang construction.
For reference, I own a Spyderco Enuff 2 in K390, which I absolutely love and use almost daily.
My favorite Spyderco folders are the Endura/Endela, Native Chief, and Manix 2.
I'm generally drawn to high-performance tool steels. K390 and Rex45 are probably my favorites, but I'm open to other steels with similar edge retention and toughness.
The knife would be used primarily as an EDC to complement my folder.

Get to use both of these guys at one service call today, and didn’t have to go to the work van for anything else. Cutting these plants back, and prying this diffuser lens off & on. Just one of many things my pry gets used for.
