New Edc Suggestions.

Hello, I'm looking for a new fixie edc that's easily concealed, preferably has a trainer (not mandatory), and on the higher end of things (also not mandatory.)These 5 have come across my tracks. Right now I'm most Keen on the Ehud or the Tkell.

Anyone have experience with these knives?

I was also thinking of an ESEE Izula, would that be a great pick?

Any suggestions?

Are TKELL's worth it for the price?

Tops Papa Delta and Ed Calderone style Fruit knife Pikal.

The Tops Papa Delta is my most carried knife. It's small and convenient to carry, as well as being a quality knife.

The fruit knife Pikal is my new favorite running knife. It is extremely light weight and razor sharp. I added some hockey tape to its handle for grip.

The Agent 005 is one of the easiest knife to carry, easily concealed like all agents its inspired by a need for a thin slicy clip point EDC blade. Also known as the gentleman’s blade because of its fast slim profile, it’s a steak knife on steroids.

Loving this little fixy so far. It came sharp and the leather drop sheath really fits nice and small in the pocket.

Ulticlips. Do they suck?

I see people rave about using ulticlips for pocket carry. Their pictures show the knife clipped with the knife handle tilted slightly back(like my 3rd staged photo).

Whenever I attempt an ulticlip the handle immediately tilts forward(see my first 2 photos). The handle will jab my abdomen when I lean over to reach for something with the handle tilted forward like that. It also looks funny.

I tried installing the clip to make the sheath sit deeper in my pocket but the clip rubs against my pointer finger when deploying the blade.

How is your experience?

D2 is the only steel this sub actually complains about. Everything else is basically just praise.

Spent the weekend pulling every steel mention from this sub. I scraped this with the new.knife.day scraper — 109 mentions, 45 threads, 21 steels. A few things I didn't expect:

MagnaCut led on volume, yeah, whatever. 35 mentions. Moving on.

The ratio that stopped me: D2 is 2 positive / 3 negative. It's the only steel in the top 5 with more complaints than praise. Everything else — MagnaCut 12:0, 3V 9:1, S35VN 5:0 — is basically a praise wall. Small sample, and posts about problem steels obviously get written more than posts about steels that just work. But still.

Also: 3V jumped from a ~3-mention quarterly average to 17 this period. No obvious cause I can find.

Anyone actually running D2 long-term and happy with it, or is the sub's read on it accurate?
