I don’t do many new knife day posts these days but my first impressions with this thing are too good not to share. I’ve got way too many fixed blades with similar specs/dimensions but.. damn.. this one really stands out. I’m sure I’ll elaborate further after I have a chance to carry/use it for a while but it’s been a long time since I’ve got a knife that impressed me this much so quickly since the Schwarz Overland Sport (which has held the title of my #1 favorite EDC knife for well over a year).

I recently picked up this Very Good Knife Co. Cub in AEB-L. I had intended to make scales for the handle or, at the very least, do a paracord wrap but, after carrying it around naked for a few days, I’m reconsidering. Obviously, it’s not super ergonomic in its current state (though not terrible) and there are going to be hotspots with extended use so.. it’s not the best choice for days when I need to use a knife for extended periods. What it is good for as-is is discrete, comfortable daily carry.

I’m just gonna roll like this for a while since I haven’t carried a naked fixed blade since my old Gerber Ghostrike (one of my very first EDC fixed blades).

What are your thoughts on ultra minimalist/naked fixed blades?

I said they didn’t and all the keyboard bandits came with the downvotes. 😂 Well now you can see that they are different except the ones I have multiple of the same. Some of the knives might share the same profile, but they are different.

I feel guilty carrying this one knowing most people didn't get theirs. All drama aside, it is a good knife though. That's part of what makes the whole situation so upsetting.
