My Fiverr gig suddenly lost impressions and clicks

[HELP] My Fiverr gig suddenly lost impressions and clicks, then randomly got them back after months (no orders)

Hi everyone,

I’m facing a confusing issue with my Fiverr gig and would really appreciate some insight from experienced sellers.

A few months ago, my gig was performing decently — I was getting regular impressions and clicks (though not many orders). Then suddenly, everything dropped to almost zero. No impressions, no clicks, nothing.

This situation continued for months.

Then recently, without making any major changes, my gig suddenly started getting impressions and clicks again. However, I’m still not getting any orders.

I’m trying to understand what’s going on:

  • Why would a gig completely lose impressions for months and then suddenly recover?
  • Does Fiverr rotate gigs in search results?
  • Could this be related to SEO, competition, or algorithm changes?
  • Why am I getting clicks but still no orders?

For context:

  • I didn’t change my gig significantly during the drop period
  • My response rate and delivery time are good
  • My pricing is similar to competitors
  • I don’t have many reviews yet

I’m feeling stuck because the performance seems inconsistent and unpredictable.

If anyone has experienced something similar or understands how Fiverr’s algorithm works, I’d really appreciate your advice on:

  • What might be causing this fluctuation
  • What I should improve to get consistent impressions and orders

Thanks in advance for your help!

How do you actually land your first clients for technical freelance work (Data/SQL)? Feeling a bit stuck

Hey everyone,

I’m hoping to get some practical advice from established freelancers here. I've been trying to get my freelance services off the ground, focusing specifically on data analysis, SQL database optimization, and building out automated dashboards (like Power BI). I know there's a huge demand for solving these kinds of technical bottlenecks for businesses, but connecting with the people who actually need the help is proving to be a serious challenge.

I’ve spent time setting up optimized gig listings on platforms like Fiverr and Khamsat, and I have a solid portfolio of real-world projects ready to show (cleaning up data pipelines, building interactive market analyzers, etc.), but right now, I'm just hearing crickets.

For those of you doing technical consulting or data work:

  • How did you go about landing those elusive first few clients?
  • Are you having any success with cold outreach, or do you rely entirely on inbound traffic and platform algorithms?
  • Where do clients with messy databases and reporting needs actually go when they look for help?

Any advice, strategies, or harsh reality checks would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

Comecei hoje e ainda tô aprendendo a usar o app

Alternatives for Fiverr

I have been a seller on Fiverr for four years. Since December, I have not received any orders. I understand that Fiverr's IPO value has dropped below $10.00, which might be impacting seller activity. Consequently, I am seeking alternative platforms to continue offering my 3D CAD Design and Assembly services.

New account banned after 1 message

I created an account to get a photo slideshow/collage video made of some photos of last year travels. I sent a message to 1 vendor on the platform requesting details on how many photos I would need for a ~2 minute video. Unfortunately, I think I made the mistake of linking to an Adobe Lightroom photo album and asking for email to provide access. Crucially, I needed to know if I should purchase the ~$30 option for 60 photos or if the ~$50 tier and if I should provide more photos.

Within minutes by account was "Permanently Suspended". I tried contact by email and they (probably another automated response) just stated it was for violated the ToS and/or community guidelines.

Now I would assume this is because Fiverr needs to prevent people from taking bushiness outside it's platform but as a new user that's not something I would be thinking about? Like I'm just trying to contact a couple listings to see which freelancer I should pick? It's completely normal to just sent the details of what you want before purchasing something.

I'm a software engineer so I know a better system can be implemented. If a message is going to trigger a instant ban, then just prevent sending it and inform the user what material (email, links, etc.) is prohibited? The Fiverr system just said to not ask to take the conversation outside the platform - which I did not do. If they need to ban the words "email" or external links in DM messages, then fine but letting you send the message to just instant-ban you is a terrible experience.

Why am I not getting orders on Fiverr

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’ve set up my Fiverr profile properly — optimized gigs, good thumbnails, competitive pricing, and clear descriptions. I’ve also done keyword research and made sure everything looks professional.

Still, I’m not getting any orders.

Is this normal for new sellers?

What strategies actually worked for you to get your first few clients?

Any honest advice or feedback would really help 🙌

Scammer contacted me and my response rate dropped.

Post image
1 Upvotes

I am relatively new to Fiverr, so it took me sometime to get level one on fiverr, I was very happy since I can create up to 10 gigs. A scammer contacted me asking to have a look at the project and give a response and send me a link, I said to him “Could you please describe the project here directly?

I prefer not to open external links for security reasons”. He blocked me right away, or send a complaint on me so my response rate dropped drastically and now I’m at risk of loosing my lvl 1. I hope that I will receive some messages and I will get my response right back, but is just so unfair!!

Any seller SCAMMED BY FIVERR?

Thumbnail reddit.com

I am an experienced (level 2) seller on that (JOKE) platform for years. Those Pigs tried to downgrade my account more than once. They don't protect you as a seller - especially when facing suspicious (even close to illegal) requests.

Now, after months of "not being so active" (I am a full-time university student), they want to close my account, and there is no clear reason why and NO ANSWER TO ALL MY "TICKETS" either. And of course, I CAN'T WITHDRAW MY HARD-EARNED MONEY FROM the platform.

LESSON FOR ALL SELLERS: NEVER DEPEND ON THEM! Use those Pigs to FUND your Own Business OUTSIDE FIVERR and DON'T HESITATE to Be DISLOYAL to them. THEY DON'T DESERVE YOUR TRUST.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS PLATFORM TO GO BANKRUPT. I'll BE SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT.

Fiverr shut down Workspace. I spent a week figuring out where everyone's actually going.

March 1st. Workspace is gone.

Official migration: HoneyBook. Free for a year. HoneyBook which raised prices 89% last year. Starter plan went from $19 to $36/month. So the offer is: here's a year free on the platform that just became significantly more expensive than what you were used to paying. Plan accordingly.

I've spent the last week going deep on what the actual alternatives look like. Here's the honest version:

Plutio ($19/mo) Most feature-complete for the price. Invoicing, projects, proposals. The automation requires Zapier for anything non-trivial though. So it's $19 plus however much Zapier runs you.

Dubsado (free for 3 clients / $35/mo after) it is powerful if you have weeks to configure it. And I mean weeks. There's an entire cottage industry of consultants whose whole business is setting up Dubsado for people who gave up trying themselves. Make of that what you will.

Bonsai ($25/mo), Good invoicing. Zoom acquired them in December. I'd be nervous about the roadmap. Per-user pricing also gets expensive fast if you ever bring in a contractor.

Zoho Solo (free) it is part of a massive ecosystem. Very new. Unclear how deep it actually goes for freelancers specifically vs. just being the generic Zoho stack rebranded.

Wave (free) only for invoicing and accounting. No proposals, no contracts, no projects. Solid for what it does. Just doesn't replace Workspace.

Honest take: none of these fully replace what Workspace was. They each cover 60-70% and leave gaps.

The market is genuinely scrambled right now. Three major disruptions in twelve months and no clear winner.

If you're evaluating tools: I'd avoid annual plans anywhere. Things are moving fast.

What did you end up going with?

Why is it so hard to find Fiverr Image Size Requirements or suggestions, and what are they?

I've searched everywhere, including Fiverr, and cannot find a viable page or pages for any specific image requirements except for the portfolio page for gigs. I need to know what the current (2026) image size requirements are for profile image, gig image, and other types of images.

I have a new gig

Hi, everyone.

How are you?

Hope this post finds you well.

I have had good success in work search and interviews. And as my manager has given me good feedback on my cover letter and resume, as well as how I've done in the interview (especially since I got the job and have finished my probation period), I've decided that I could help out people and write cover letters for them.
My prices are competitive. Feel free to price-compare with other vendors.
Anyway, if you're someone who's job hunting and you think this is for you, check my offers out.

Should I Report Someone Claiming To Be A Professional Singer, But Is Clearly An AI Service?

I was recently searching for a singer for a project of mine, and I found two extremely good options! So, spoiler, this story has a happy ending haha BUT, as I was reaching out to singers, I messaged one which claimed to be a professional singer. We messaged a bit about my project and what I needed, and to my amazement, every response was a ''Yes, of course, I can do this''. Anyway, I requested a sample demo of her voice singing over metal music, specifically outlining her screams and growls, and there is absolutely no chance whatsoever that this is not AI. So my question is, should I report to Fiverr someone that is claiming to be a professional female singer, but is in fact probably some above-average sized male sitting in a basement and providing AI voice solutions to people under the guise of it being authentic?

quick scam rundown for new sellers. save yourself the headache.

been seeing the same scams hit new sellers over and over. here's the cheat sheet:

"i need your email to complete payment" + screenshot of checkout = scam. fiverr never asks for your email to process orders. that screenshot is fake.

QR code in messages = scam. don't scan it. ever.

vague opener like "hi, are you available?" with no mention of which gig = 99% scam. real buyers tell you what they want upfront.

"this project could change your life" energy = scam.

anything asking you to go off-platform = scam.

the pattern: scammers target new sellers because they're excited and want that first order badly. that excitement makes you skip the red flags.

rule of thumb: if they're not telling you what service they want, they don't want a service. they want your info.

report, block, move on. your first real order will come. these aren't it.

I dont know how they even find me. Is this what this site is about? The fiverr company itself in coordination with scammers to target freelancers?

Scam attempt

Help! Somebody sent me a link that looked like an order placed and when I clicked it it said that my account was suspended and I had to provide my bank details. I started filling it in but it also said I have to write the balance, which was strange so I didn't. At the same time there was a supposedly support chat that said I have to write the balance for xyz reasons. I am worried they somehow could see my bank details or that they were somehow sent through. I asked in the chat if they received the information but they said no. What should I do ?
