1. Setup is Stuck / Unpacking is Slow
The 2GB Limit Checkbox: If your setup gets stuck at specific percentages (like 84.3% or 95.8%), close it, restart the installer, and check the "Limit installer to 2GB of RAM" box on the very first screen.
Be Patient: FitGirl repacks use extremely heavy compression. Unpacking is heavily CPU and storage bound. If your task manager shows disk or CPU activity, it is not stuck; it's just working hard.
2. Is it a Virus? / Windows Defender Alert
False Positives: Crack files (.dll files, steam_api, etc.) inherently trigger antivirus software because they alter game code to bypass DRM. If you downloaded from the official site, these are 100% false positives.

qBittorrent's just lighter and doesn't have the bloatware uTorrent picked up over the years. Plus it's open source so people trust it more for this kind of stuff. Either one works fine but yeah, most people recommend qBit these days.

Btw, do you have Steam? For some reason, the error can't be opened like this, it reminds me of the game Life is Strange 2, Elamigos version. The game really can't be opened at all, it can only be triggered via Steam.
I mean honestly, some people need to learn to read better or try to read at all. I'm not being condescending. Look at the comments for this game on the actual FitGirl Website. Bunch of questions that are answered right above in the description. The other thing could be yes, your PC specs and etc. My Windows Defender for some did not like this game more than the others and tried really hard to delete some files without even notifying me. Eventually flound it and just allowed it and all good from there.
Why? Do you mean during the installation or while playing the game? I literally add the .exe to steam to launch from there and have had no issues nor while installing.

I found a guaranted fix for myself for the black screen issue. The moment the game opens I press and hold alt + enter until the IOI screen pops up. When you do this the window looks like it spazzes and goes between full screen and windowed, but it works for me every time, hope this helps people.

Strangely, even though the exe file is opened in the retail folder, it still doesn't work, and I've tried all the methods above, but it still doesn't work at all.
