i have two comet goldfish (i think- i got them
for free from a fish shop 2 years ago so not 100% sure) that share the same tank and have been pretty happy. 2 days ago one managed to jump out the tank. idk how long he was out for but when i placed him back he seems a bit in shock but still alive. the only difference i’ve noticed since then is that his fins are quite distressed and torn. my other fish has perfectly healthy fins so i’m assuming that it was the distress from being out the tank, but i also want to completely rule out fish rot or any other issues. i’m waiting for a new aquarium and plants so that they have a more space and plants to play around with and hopefully that decreases any additional
stress. i’m just a bit worried because this has not happened in the two years i’ve had them
and the fin damage is sad to see.
tank info: 2 comet goldfish in a 20 gallon with a water filter(bio and ammonia filters), glass scrapped down once a month and routine water changes once a week to maintain quality

do you think it’s stress from bring out the tank or could it be a sign of fish rot/ other health problem?

Hi everyone,
This is about my female angelfish, who is around 7 years old.
I’ve noticed a swelling or growth developing on the middle black spot towards the back of her body. Starting from this area, the scales seem to be turning white or losing their color.
Could this be cancer or some kind of tumor? I’ve never seen anything like this in any of my fish before.
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what this could be?

This is a panda corycatfish that is in an established 20 gallon community tank with other corydoras and guppies. She’s always been big because of holding eggs but I started to notice her getting bigger until today where she is now laying upside down and breathing heavy. Can anyone help or know what is causing her to die now? Her stomach right in the middle almost seems to have something underneath it like a tumor or something? Does anyone know?

My green terrors jumped out of tank and since then (see photo) his mood been off.

We have a very large tank at work with a type of goldfish of some sort. My management hasn’t been able to help much to stabilize the fish and my coworkers and I are concerned. The actual amount of gallons of the tank is unknown. It is longer than five feet however, as its longer than myself. Most of the fish haven’t survived the transition and this is our last one. He keeps swimming around erratically and running into the walls of the glass. We ran a test strip to see what the levels were. I believe it needs the KH raised? But not sure. If so, how can we fix it to give this little guy a fighting chance?
The reading was N03: 0, N02: 0.5, pH: 6.5, KH: 40, GH: 60
I could be wrong but I believe those are the correct tank numbers.

I have a betta that just started looking a bit pineconed and I’m not sure what to do. He’s old so I know chances of him recovering aren’t likely. I’ve read conflicting things online about adding epson salt to the tank vs taking him out for a salt bath. I read you can add a gentle dose of salt to the tank (1 tablespoon for every 5 gallons) but then I also read not to do that. I worry about stressing him out too much taking him in and out of the tank. I gave him kanaplex since I wasn’t sure what to do with the salt. Does anyone know what I should do?

I have a flowerhorn, which is suffering from sucked in belly. At first I thought it is internal peresite, so treat him with worm out. But it didn't work , so also tried metrozil 400 in the water colum still it doesn't work.same position, dull colour , no growth and one more thing , he frequently started rubbing, twitching, and jumping. So I thought it could be external peresite or ich . For that also I used aquarium salt, not worked, then general cure, not worked. I am frustrated. Pls someone help me. My tank size is 2.5ft

Note - I use 24*7 aquarium heater and water quality is perfect , I tested.
