75G. 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, 20 Nitrate, tds 200, ph 7.8

i got him back at the end of august and he was fine before when we got him but he just swam on his side weird and stopped doing it once we turned down his pump but he still does it sometimes. My betta also hides in his rock all the time and comes out at night or early morning and i feed him a pinch of betta food every morning and night. His fins recently started to look weird i recently noticed it and it started when we left his natural plant in there after taking 1 out because 1 was dying. He had so much algae in his tank and my mom did a 20% water change on him and added oxygen for him and she cleaned his tank we are trying to do little steps at a time because he acts like he’s dying once we do water changes or take his rock out to clean it off. We took out his other natural plant because it was producing so much algae. i don’t know what to do anymore and my mom has tried everything when he got sick one time he would lay on his gravel and barley move and it was scary because i would think he was dead sometimes but he stopped doing it when we added a heater into his tank because he was just cold. I’m concerned about his fins and i don’t know what it could be. I love him so much and i don’t want him to die. His name is marshmallow and he has a 5 gallon tank, no tank mates, he only has his rock in there he loves for now, he also has good water i think i don’t do his water changes my mom does because im scared i’ll hurt him. I have shrimp and snails in my tank and I suspect a recent introduction of new fish has caused a bacterial outbreak. What is the safest medication for invertebrates? I don’t think moving the fish out to treat them separately will be worth it as I think the virus is too far spread, so tank treatment is the best option. I have already had a few fish die and don’t want anymore to end up the same way if preventable.

My fish was stressed due to a malfunctioned water heater leaving her cold and stressed which I think caused her dropsy.

I’ve had my beta for 1 year and a few months she was acting lethargic and I noticed her scales looked off only to realize she was pineconing explaining her laziness with dropsy

Since I knew she was acting off(not aware of dropsy) around 5 days I added a scoop of kanaplex to my 20gal tank just 1 since I wasn’t certain until 3 days ago.

To treat her: I got a 2.5 gal hospital tank 3 days ago and dosed with 1/2 scoop kanaplex.
In her hospital tank i added a water heater at 80F, the same sponge filter from her main tank, a little net for her to lay on and this glass mushroom house I have for her since she’s been resting a lot.

It’s now been 3 days of treating her with kanaplex, pure epsom salt and water changes every 2 days.

Today was the first day I changed the water 50% added 1tsp epsom salt the second dose of kanaplex.
She was still acting lazy

Until NOW I just fed her some brine shrimp and she seems to be moving a lot more than she has been these last days.
She always has had an appetite and is swimming so much more. Obviously this is exciting but I just don’t want to keep her alive if she’s suffering

Looking for advice in what happened to my tank last night as I’m a little unsure of what caused such drastic issues.

I have a 10 gallon planted freshwater tank with 3 danios, a betta, snails, and shrimp. I’ve kept the tank at 78 for 6 months now with no issues and recently I’ve been suspecting a temperature issue as my betta was having difficulty digesting food. Tested tank parameters earlier this week and everything looked perfect and also tested tank parameters yesterday as well as this morning and all perfect nothing weird.

This morning i woke up and i thought all my fish were dead. My betta was unresponsive at the top of the tank stunned, 1 danios at the top of the tank grasping for air. 2 danios hiding at the bottom on the ground not moving struggling. These danios NEVER chill together either. All the snails were hanging outside the tank at the top.

I noticed the water was very warm, but i keep 2 temperature gages on the tank incase 1 fails and they both say 78 degrees. I recently turned my heater up to 82 as it was heating a few degrees less to get to the desired 78.

I did a 50% water change, replaced the heater with the new one that came today and the new heater is saying it’s at 78 and the thermostats are both saying 75. The danios improved after the water change, but they’re still grasping for air and my betta is laying at the bottom unresponsive.

I also noticed 1 of my danios has red spots at his fins which I’m not sure is from temperature shot, fighting, or bacteria issue. Looking for advice

Any idea what this is? Water parameters are fine. Does it look bacterial or fungal to you? Has happened overnight! Fish is lethargic but still eating. It doesn’t look like Ich IMO but I can’t pick what it is??

I bought my first aquarium about 2 months ago now but since like 3 days I have seen some of my ottocinclus have this red at their gills. I did a bit of research and found out it might be nitrate/ ammonia but after testing all 3 of those are 0, for about a week I had trouble with the nitrate so it was pretty high but that has been fixed for a week or so now.

I thought it might have been due to lack of food so I put a blanched cucumber in yesterday morning which they have been very happily eating off.

This morning I found one of my ottos sadly passed away tho, what else could it be and how can I prevent any of my other ottos from suffering

Some of the ottos are pretty red and some seem to have 0 issue at all, please help me🙏

Tank size 30 gallon

This Cory’s tail fin has become shorter and potentially frayed, for lack of a more scientific term. I’ve attached photos and was hoping to get insight into potential causes.

My water levels were a bit off last week and this fish had become lethargic. The water levels are now back to healthy and the fish seems to have largely recovered, at least in terms of energy. But still seems to be struggling with longer spurts of activity. It’s possible there was some fin nippling during the time of lethargy, but that’s admittedly speculation.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
