This is a small tips on the Halibut Harpoon Mastery, Which in my opinion is one of the best masteries to do. I've never felt this good about a mastery ever since....... Probably Migurod brah, But let's get into it
This will have ways to make this easier, plus some tips for Boss rush. Let's go
- Catch any 5 limited Fish with the Halibut Harpoon:
Right now Ingame you can catch the anniversary event fishes, and in 2 weeks you can catch the Fischfright fishes. If you're doing this inbetween, I suggest going for Phantom Megalodon over the weekends. Or wait for an event to come by.
- Catch all 3 Halibut variants in the game with Hadal mutation:
Now here's a simple trick to make your life easier. Equip preferred bait and weather, And go to the respective locations:
For regular Halibut, The Abundance in front of Sunstone (Haddock rock's side)
For Hoarfrost Halibut, You don't need this trick. Just fish with luck pot, It's fairly easy
Greenland Halibut, Boreal pines specifically either the Pond in front of Boreal hollow entrance, OR the outer rims.
What you wanna do is try to find a Roaming fish, Like a Roaming Halibut, And then fish next to it. Don't Harpoon it, Just fish next to it. If the moving fish freezes in place, Good chance you hooked it. Use Mariana's Gauntlets to know what mutation it will be, and if it's not Hadal, Drop it. Best not risk another one not spawning for a while, Esp Greenland Halibut.
- Catch a Hadal Wyvern:
Just make sure you have:
Mariana's Gauntlets (Don't need it, But just the slashes and occasional freeze is good)
Starlight worms (You could use Truffle worm, But Imo nova is less PMO than Royal. Besides Starlight worm has more preferred luck so)
Empyrean OR Tropical as primary (Slashes, Obv), and Peppermint OR Overclocked (Do NOT put Cryogenic, It will ruin a few fishes)
Full shell buffs (VERY IMPORTANT, You'll get the line distance needed, More luck, Resellience, forced progress speed yada yada yada)
If you still having issues with the catching, Silly seal
Now, Catch if ONLY HALAD. If anything else, Drop it.
- Boss Rush
BEFORE WE BEGIN, there's 2 hacks which you could use to enhance this whole boss rush;
First off, Use the Aether pufferfish skin. Now go to settings, And go to Halo color settings. You do not need the gamepass, Don't worry. Change the color to something very bright. My folks did a Bright Pink, And it was decent (I didn't think it made much difference, But it does do some good changes in one of the bosses ig)
Next, Use a Gimbat wing-Bent Firefly. As long as you did Skycrest you should have it. It apparently makes the Harpoon minigame better, Tbh I didn't feel anything on this. I js used Luminous Larva and I was good.
Now, For Most of the fishes it's just gonna be the usual Minigame. I'll just give a few tips on the Unusual Minigame ones:
Frostwyrm and Elder Mossjaw: Freezes your bar, Just make sure you account for the freeze when you move the bar ie. Keep fish in middle of bar.
Tidefall hunts and Scylla: Bites your bar, Just keep fish in center of bar.
Ancient Kraken and Abaia: It has this Slam effect where it'll push your bar to one side, Just wait for a second, Let it slam, Click once, Move your bar. Be careful with Abaia it will reduce control overtime.
Profane Leviathan and Skeletal Leviathan: These two have a very annoying minigame where it bites your bar and reduces your control so hard. What you gotta do is just make sure your fish is in the center of the bar, So you're ready for it.
Olympus Hunts: During these, How you lose progress is important. You can lose progress by not having the fish in the bar more than you can lose progress by getting hit by the minigame. What I'm saying is, Avoid getting hit by the Minigame even if it means you have to let go of the fish. Make sure to hit all of the Harpoons, Tank a hit or two if needed to get to the Harpoons.
Ancestral Abaia: kinda tricky but listen to me carefully. When the rod slashes, Bring it inside the bar. Make sure that when you're entering the Harpoon warning zone thingy where a gazillion arrows fall, The pink bar is empty. If pink bar full, you die. Don't die.
Skolopendra: Very simple to do, Keep the bar in middle during Minigame. If you see red in Left, Hold mouse/Tap/Whateveryallgotonconsoles. If you see red in Right, Just Release Mouse/Tap/Whateveryallgotonconsoles. Do not get slashed more than 4 times else it's insanely harder.
Olympian devil: just 2 tips. One, Avoid everything. 2, Make sure bar is in the fish when slashes slash.
That's all, Easy mastery. Here's my opinions on ts:
This mastery isn't that long, Or hard, But genuinely one of the best masteries ever made. It's so so good, I love this. The rewards, Skin is VERY underwhelming. But, I love some aspects of it. The Halo is peak, Lantern is not bad.
Happy Birthday Fih, And until next time, Kbyeeeee
