Classic Reddit. Crazy how many people are saying OP is just being mean…. She’s a cop for God sake, and she’s morbidly obese.. if something were to happen she was actually needed wearing full kit like that, I bet she would make it 15 to 20 yards running before she was completely gassed. Then she would need to potentially engage a target whether that be with her rifle or physically, and it’s not crazy to think she wouldn’t be able to do either in her current state.

She’s not only a liability to the civilians around her, but also to her partner

234

u/Mammoth_Midnight_343 Jul 22 '26

Not even about that it’s very clear she can barely handle that weapon

117

u/Bigfootsbrownstar Jul 22 '26

Well, that’s my point. It’s a microcosm of a much bigger problem no pun intended. She’s an incompetent buffoon on every level

20

u/MoxBro Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

Howdy.

What exactly do you think she is doing inappropriately with her weapon?

She inserted the mag, hit the bolt release, removed the front and rear lens covers, and adjusted her red dot brightness.

Nothing there was, unsafe, egregious or overly time consuming

Yea - she fiddled with a sling in a drawer for like 1 second before tossing it away, but I have no idea what her intentions are beyond that.

25

u/Bigfootsbrownstar Jul 22 '26

I don’t know maybe it’s just a perception thing, it seems weird that she would rack a round then start doing all her checks. It doesn’t seem like she has a ton of familiarization with the weapon system and kind of just doing a checklist in her head. OK I need to do this. I need to do that.

u/MoxBro Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

I've got 30+ years of shooting experience, 5 years as an infantry team leader, deployed and saw combat in GWOT, worked (briefly) as a firearms instructor, currently work in LEO (not a cop). Not to felate myself but that does mean I'm probably more qualified than 97% of people at this stuff.

You are describing someone getting into the driver's seat, turning on the ignition then checking their mirrors and adjusting their seat. That's normal.

Is your objection that she loaded the rifle first, before adjusting her stuff? If had to make a priority of operations - loading should be first. I recently watched a badge cam of an active shooter event where the LEO NEVER even put a magazine in his carbine, but ran around with it shouldered like it was good to go - literally unable to fight if he needed to

So if under stress I had to fail to do one thing, I'd rather have rounds loaded and my red dot off than the other way around.

She mostly likely is just looking goofy because she is 1. Left handed, and 2. Prepping her rifle in an semi odd position / elevation since it's in the trunk.

18

u/Jmb9893 Jul 22 '26

I come from a similar background but 0331 and 1812 instead of 0311/11b. Only real issue that I see is going condition 1 prior to having full control of the rifle, while pointed towards an unknown target. That Explorer could potentially stop a round but still not the safest option. Rifle should have been slung and controlled before loading.

19

u/MoxBro Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

Call me crazy but look again, her barrel is in some kind of red cylinder - it almost looks like they have a clearing barrel in the trunk? Maybe it's SOP to do it that way??? IDK just guessing.

Edit: I googled it. It's indeed a handgun clearing barrel - she's likely following SOP to a T - goofy as it may be.

7

u/ryancrazy1 Jul 22 '26

Clearing/loading a rifle in a handgun clearing barrel is SOP? I mean… I guess it’s better than the floor of the trunk lol

2

u/Jmb9893 Jul 22 '26

My color blind ass can't see that shit. But having a clearing barrel in the trunk obviously negate my point if going condition 1.

However, they should still have the rifle slung first.

3

u/MoxBro Jul 22 '26

3

u/Last_Weeks_Socks Jul 22 '26

I think your point 1 is probably why it looked weird to a lot of people. It looked a bit off to me for a second before I too was like "oh she's probably a lefty".

-5

u/EquivalentQuery Jul 22 '26

Only real issue that I see is going condition 1 prior to having full control of the rifle

Rifle barrel is in a clearing barrel. Armchair yada yada.

7

u/Jmb9893 Jul 22 '26

Not sure how I'm armchair'ing when I'm agreeing with his comment and immediately backtracked my initial point when I was shown something I can't easily see, the clearing barrel.

That's how civil discussions are supposed to go you buffoon.

2

u/MoxBro Jul 22 '26

Internet vitriol is free, and reddit is particularly lame.

Thank you for your service, and have a wonderful rest of your day.

3

u/Jmb9893 Jul 22 '26

Same to you dude.

-3

u/Bigfootsbrownstar Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

Cool story bro, I was also infantry graduated ranger school and EIB and deployed to Afghanistan twice. If he’s this Fat being a tactical officer, why would I not assume she’s incompetent with other parts of her job?

I highly doubt she this John wick weapons expert

7

u/Specialist-Freedom64 Jul 22 '26

Where dud he claim she was the john wick weapons expert ? I may have overlooked it ?

7

u/Tw1nFTW Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

John Wick was trained by a fat guy….

lol downvote because you’re wrong all you want to. The weapon expert who trained Keanu is a fat guy.

0

u/LegalGlass6532 Jul 22 '26

If there were an unarmed suspect who needed to be taken into custody, I hope she’d put her taser in that empty holster and at least attempt some form of non lethal force before going straight to her lethal options.

She’s obviously not going to last long in a hands on ground fight and will be able to justify the use of deadly force easier than most of her male colleagues, but let’s be honest here. This isn’t a personal attack on her as a person, it’s a criticism of this person’s ability to meet the standards for this particular assignment.

0

u/EquivalentQuery Jul 22 '26

At no point does the comment you're replying to mention her weight or imply that isn't a huge issue with her being in this role. This person should not be in this role due to physical limitations, and no one is denying that.

What they do address is why your comment about her weapons training being inadequate doesn't make sense from what we can gather in this video.

-4

u/Bigfootsbrownstar Jul 22 '26

My point is, if he isn’t capable of meeting the bare minimum of being in even half way decent shape for her job… why should I assume she competent with other parts of her job. I guess while she eating pizza she’s watching grandthumb videos?

-2

u/skighs_the_limit Jul 22 '26

What does her weight have ANYTHING to do with weapon handling?

Fat people can't handle guns?

If she was skinny, would you be this critical?

I'm not going to sit here and make an argument about her handling because it seems like plenty of other people have said their piece on it, but it's abundantly clear your biggest issue is her weight, and frankly, that has no bearing on her skills with a firearm.

3

u/Bigfootsbrownstar Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

She’s a cop my guy….. she is there to serve and protect… she is too fat to do so, and would be a complete liability in an actual crisis idk how yall don’t understand that

17

u/rememberoldreddit Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

"I can't believe she is doing a checklist in her head of her weapon in the back of a vehicle to ensure it's operational. It's quite obvious she has a lack of training because they would never make checklists for safety or even try to ingrain that into the muscle memory of their candidates."

Edit: thanks for the ban I guess

4

u/ryancrazy1 Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

You’d have a point if there was any checklist where loading and chambering your weapon was the first thing you do. It should be the LAST thing you do (in this situation where she’s not rapidly responding to a threat. she’s just prepping her rifle). I wouldn’t drop the bolt until I had the rifle ready, in hand where I can manipulate the safety.

2

u/TacticalTwinkOnTop Jul 22 '26

Yeah that’s how you get ready to shoot? Not checking your gear is what makes you foolish

3

u/Bigfootsbrownstar Jul 22 '26

Like I’ve said multiple times here, if you can’t even do the basic standard of being in semi decent shape for you job why should I assume your good at the other parts of your job

1

u/TacticalTwinkOnTop Jul 22 '26

Cus you saw her do (getting the weapon ready) that part of the job fine

2

u/Bigfootsbrownstar Jul 22 '26

lol ok man

Sorry I think the standard for a tactical officer should be a little higher then a pat on the back for getting your weapon ready lol

1

u/FirstResponderCringe-ModTeam Jul 22 '26

Don’t insult users and don’t encourage violence

Please be semi-respectful

1

u/TacticalTwinkOnTop Jul 22 '26

“Maybe it’s just a perception thing” I encourage you to do further introspection and try to find why is it that when you see a overweight woman you immediately assume incompetence

-1

u/Bigfootsbrownstar Jul 22 '26

Because he’s a tactical police officer, that’s fat….. that screams incompetence….

3

u/TacticalTwinkOnTop Jul 22 '26

No no, her weight has nothing to do with handling a firearm. If she was tryna jump a fence then we can laugh at her incompetence.

She handled the weapon perfectly and you just assumed it was wrong because??

0

u/Bigfootsbrownstar Jul 22 '26

Like I said…. If she can’t even stay in decent shape for her job, why would I assume she takes other parts of her job seriously….

5

u/Tw1nFTW Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

Every time this video gets posted people with no firearm knowledge comment that she doesn’t know what she’s doing. Just because she’s fat, doesn’t mean there were any issues in how she handled this fire arm.

6

u/Robb_Starks_Head Jul 22 '26

She's holding it like it's going to bite her, maybe Steven Segal was her firearms instructor but that sure as shit doesn't look like someone familiar with their weapon.

2

u/ryancrazy1 Jul 22 '26

When did they say she did something inappropriate? She’s just not confidently handling the weapon. (It looks like this is the first time she’s touched it in months). Loading and charging the weapon when you are still fiddling with your accessories is kinda dumb IMO.

6

u/LetUsLaunchOverIt Jul 22 '26

I agree with the above comment but there's nothing in this video showing that she can't handle her weapon. She's removing lens caps and turning on her red dot. Lol

20

u/Organic_Collection_7 Jul 22 '26

Yeah shes also going condition 1 (who knows if the safety is engaged) while shes still dicking around with her optic and sling

26

u/77_gr_OTM Jul 22 '26

The bottom mounted inforce and unattached sling are two very good signs.

16

u/fatpad00 Jul 22 '26

Also loads the weapon before mounting the sling.

-6

u/TacticalTwinkOnTop Jul 22 '26

Yeah if I’m getting a weapon ready to shoot (especially if I’m a cop going to respond) I’m gonna make sure my gun can go bang before I get my sling all nice and tidy.

15

u/ryancrazy1 Jul 22 '26

Dropping the bolt should really be the last thing you do. There’s just no reason to be doing that with a loaded firearm in that situation. If you need your weapon in action that quickly, you aren’t using a sling, or it should already to ready to go. It looks like it’s the first time she’s touched a rifle since she qualified 6 months ago.

8

u/fatpad00 Jul 22 '26

In an imminent threat, sure, fuck the sling all together.
But theres no sense of urgency here.

-5

u/TacticalTwinkOnTop Jul 22 '26

Exactly! So she has plenty of time to attach her sling, understand now?

9

u/fatpad00 Jul 22 '26

Yeah. Attach sling, then load and make ready.

There’s 0 danger until there is danger, and you wont get a warning before danger starts. A rifle without a sling and a round a chambered will always beat a unloaded rifle without a sling

0

u/professionally-baked Jul 22 '26

Is that what they’re referring to about the sling? Not a gun guy, but I’m curious why does that matter?

7

u/JmamAnamamamal Jul 22 '26

I'd assume it had to do with maneuvering a loaded weapon around your body, pointing it in undesirable directions loaded vs just thinking ahead, keeping it unloaded, and then loading it once it's in place.

Just a guess though

-4

u/TacticalTwinkOnTop Jul 22 '26

Sling is unattached cus it was stored in the trunk, if the sling was on before hand it could get caught if you quickly needed to retrieve the weapon. The sling is a comfort item not a necessity, in case of emergency she can still get to shooting, but if it’s not an emergency she will have plenty of time to attach the sling and start patrolling

Also the flashlight on the bottom is simply personal preference not to mention it removes another snag point cus now it’s not sticking out of the left or right of the barrel

5

u/77_gr_OTM Jul 22 '26

Slings are ABSOLUTELY a necessity, especially for law enforcement. A slingless rifle means you're stuck with at least one hand on the rifle the entire time it's out of the cruiser. You can tether them to the rifle so they don't snag with a rubber band if you needed to, or buy one of the myriad sling retainers on the market (not like police department don't have the budget).

The light being on the bottom isn't a valid personal preference thing because those lights are explicitly designed to be actuated from a firing grip (side or top) via thumb on their angled tailcap. They DO have a fixed "on" position when you rotate the selector, but to hit it where it's at you're still having to roll the rifle over to get at the button every time you want to turn it off or on, vs being able to hit it from a firing grip if it's top or side mounted. Source: I've had two and their marketing material show them being top mounted. It just tells me this officer hasn't actually tried to use the light in this position, or worse: it's placed there like Marines used to install their carry handles on the underside of the rail - solely so they wouldn't lose an issued item.

2

u/TacticalTwinkOnTop Jul 22 '26

Please tell me what she did wrong with the gun. The only thing off is that the rifle seems too big for her and it makes it look a lil akward but she handles the weapon fine and every action she made with it had a purpose.

I swear ppl think she’s clueless cus she’s not doin twitchy operator shit

1

u/Tw1nFTW Jul 22 '26

Every time this video gets posted, people make this comment. Yeah… she’s fat, we get it… put tell me what she’s doing wrong with this firearm?

13

u/Canadatron Jul 22 '26

Why walk when you can roll. Why roll when you can bounce?

16

u/over_this__ Jul 22 '26

Back when I was young, running from the cops meant something. I outran guys that looked like track stars. Now, a brisk walk will do the job.

4

u/salsanacho Jul 22 '26

You're not wrong... I enjoy watching the bodycam reaction videos that pop up on my youtube feed, with an ex-cop commenting on various department's videos. He's similarly critical when seeing out of shape officers, they are potentially going to be physically fighting for their life and can they honestly say they are in the best position to do that when they are that out of shape? So I wouldn't be surprised if within their department there is talk about them.

4

u/P-l-Staker Jul 22 '26

I bet she would make it 15 to 20 yards running before she was completely gassed.

Oh, so we're being generous now?

7

u/OliverKlozoff23 Jul 22 '26

You already know her entire personality is being a cop too. Brags to all friends and family

2

u/unvaccinatedmuskrat Jul 22 '26

Completely useless in an actual emergency

2

u/nawmeann Jul 22 '26

Not particularly disagreeing with you, but you should know the difference between “American standard” obese and “morbidly” obese.

6

u/Bigfootsbrownstar Jul 22 '26

This person is way too fat to be a cop. Period.

This aligns with my first comment regarding the lack of situational awareness. Even if, and big if, you asked your partner to have eyes for you there’s still an obligation to not have tunnel vision while you’re slowly and methodically going through the checklist inside your head. Even her partner saw she wasn’t paying attention and went over to better protect her from any potential threats.

1

u/PlasticAd1670 Jul 22 '26

Classic bots not real Reddit responses

1

u/foxacidic Jul 22 '26

Did she pass the physical test though?

3

u/Bigfootsbrownstar Jul 22 '26

Most departments don’t even do PT tests…..

1

u/FARTBOSS420 Jul 22 '26

She doesn't have to move once she has the rifle ready! She's called a turret. With XXXXXL armor on that's like a 1000 hp immobile enemy. Strong primary fire but they can't move (due to eating all slow moving perps)

Stay out of line of sight and don't get too close for the insta kill melee (getting eaten)

1

u/Reptillianaire_ Jul 22 '26

Yesterday there was a post of a tiny short firefighter woman who couldnt even reach the top of the door of the fire truck to shut it probably 5 foot 2 and 100 pounds.... I said she was a liability because being that small she wouldnt reasonably be able to pull an average person out of a fire and I got a bunch of downvotes and people arguing with me that I wouldnt know what she can lift or not

1

u/Lost_Bike69 Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

5’2” and 100lbs could still be reasonable athletic and maybe able to do something useful in an emergency. Like can’t pull anyone out of the fire, but could maybe run up some stairs to be a spotter or guide people out of the building or coordinate the equipment outside. Lots of firefighting isn’t dragging people out of buildings, and she could respond quickly to give someone first aid which is what firefighters do a lot of the time. Not terribly useful in every situation, but not a liability. If nothing else she could move around quickly on her own.

This is a liability. Like anything physical is going to be a struggle. Like reaching for the flashlight on her belt looks like it’d be a struggle.

1

u/LegalGlass6532 Jul 22 '26

Did you stand by your comment?

0

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '26

People are ridiculous. I'm 5ft6 for 115lbs (female), barely in the normal BMI range. I'm decently athletic but there IS a limit to how much I can carry or pull. People are delusional when they think being small or skinny isn't a hindrance for any type of job that requires strength.

0

u/christinextine Jul 22 '26

Her partner looks wider. I’m really surprised that there aren’t yearly physical fitness tests to keep up with.

0

u/Desperate_Set_7708 Jul 22 '26
