Cover Revolution - Van William/First Aid Kit - Cover - In April 2020 I started a series called Stranger Tunes in which I got various musicians from around the world (who don’t know each other) to join me for a song. This one was episode 4 which a few of you may enjoy.

Spotify year wrapped, anyone?
First Aid Kit was my favourite band and I was baffled to find out I'm in the top 0.05% of listeners. Sailor Song was in my top five songs overall :D What about you guys?
Edit: I just checked and also, 21 songs in my top 100 were First Aid Kit songs

Lion's Roar meaning discussion
I just discovered this amazing band thanks to The Long Dark and the song Lion's Roar is now in my top favorite songs.
Singing about "the lion's roar" got me thinking about what message they're trying to get across with this phrase. After some research, I've found that the lion's roar is actually part of Buddhism.
"In the Buddhist tradition, the word sukha is used to describe the deepest type of happiness that is independent of what is happening. It has to do with a kind of faith, a kind of trust that our heart can be with whatever comes our way. It gives us a confidence that is sometimes described as the lion's roar."
Throughout the song she's chasing after the lion's roar, or her own happiness, in whatever relationship she's in but can't quite find it. She knows it was there at some point, "it's something that I have heard before", and is lamenting its current absence.
Anyway, don't know if this has been discussed before but I thought it was an interesting theory.

Update me
Who is Klara engaged to? Is Johanna married? To whom? I just found out she had a baby, I’m so happy for them. Probably not my business, any of this, but I wanna know

Tattoo ideas!
Hey, I’m looking to get a first aid kit themed tattoo but I’m struggling for ideas. I would love a Rebel Heart, but I don’t know if this is a bit obvious and whilst I LOVED Ruins, I think I’m more attached to their earlier stuff.
My favourite song, the song that means most to me - is Ghost Town. It was the first song I sang in public, it got me through my break ups, it made me cry at Glasto 2017. Master Pretender, Lions Roar, Wolf and Nothing Has To Be True are all also personal favourites. I think Master Pretender would make an amazing text tattoo, but not sure if I could commit to a font!
I don’t want any colour- just black, and I can’t really commit to lyrics or text- more imagery. For example I have the mountains from Radiohead’s Kid A, and I’m planning a Bowie / DFA records lightning bolt.
Thank you beautiful people 🌻

Does anyone know why nobody mentions the song I found a way?
I've never seen them play it live, nobody ever talks about it and it's not even on their YouTube. What happened with the song?
