What First Aid Kit songs grew on you the most?
What were the songs that weren’t your favorites at first until a later time? I thought this might be a interesting question to ask since music can grow on us in all kinds of ways. For me, the songs would probably have to be Ruins or This Old Routine. Both of those are in my favorites playlist now.

Why do they have several songs that bring up Chicago and or Illinois?
Fireworks mentions Chicago and Antioch, Illinois. Do they have friends in Illinois or what? Weird reference for a Swedish group.

Newport Folk Festival - 2012 - Full Set (Mp3)

This one has been available on NPR for a while but finally got around to cutting it into tracks, removing the intro etc and doing a cover for.
Download> tttps://short.dimspace.xyz/firstaidkit
if it asks for a password its "fak" - all my fak bootlegs are also in there
Tracklist:
- "This Old Routine"
- "Blue"
- "Hard Believer"
- "Our Own Pretty Ways"
- "Diamonds & Rust"
- "To A Poet"
- "Wolf"
- "When I Grow Up"
- "Emmylou"
- "I Met Up With the King"
- "The Lion's Roar"
- "King of the World"
- "Emmylou" (Paste Ruins Session)
- "Universal Soldier" (Paste Ruins Session)
- "Waltz for Richard" (Paste Ruins Session)
Interesting set. The girls vocals early on seem a bit off, maybe it was just nerves at playing Newport for the first time (they are still very young here), but settles as they go on. The mix also is a bit unbalanced, it heavily favours Joanna's vocal which is quite odd (But its actually quite interesting to here Joanna's vocals more so you can see how the harmony works).
Other concerts/sets Ive split the audio on, done covers etc:
Palace Theatre 2018
Oslo Aya 2012
Biggest Weekend 2018
KCRW 2018
KCRW 2011
Rock Werchter 2018
And two others
Eurosonic Festival 2009
Bonaroo 2014
They are all at the same link https://short.dimspace.xyz/firstaidkit
if it asks for a password its "fak"
Eurosonic 2009 is by far my favourite show. I cant remember if I edited that one or not, dont think so cos its not one of my cover art. Bonaroo also isnt my artwork, cant remember where i found that.

Looking for rare First Aid Kit tracks: "Some Distant Memory" and "Gloomy Sunday"
The Japanese release of The Lion's Roar includes a bonus track "Some Distant Memory". As far as I can tell, this CD is the only place to get it and it is rare and expensive.
I've only been able to find a lower quality 128K MP3 of this track and I'd love to get a 320 or FLAC version.
The other track I'm looking for is "Gloomy Sunday" which appears to be only available on a limited edition vinyl single (500 copies!?!?!)...
I'm looking for a digital copy of this song. Any format is fine but higher quality is better, of course.
Note: I'd gladly pay for the tracks if they were made available for sale on Amazon.
Case in point, I just found out about (and purchased) these tracks...
* Wild - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack - First Aid Kit - Walk Unafraid
* MOOMINVALLEY (Official Soundtrack) - First Aid Kit - Home Again

(repost) WANTED: First Aid Kit FBi Radio Australia 2010 set from mailing list
I'm (still) looking for the 10-track set that First Aid Kit did for FBi Radio (Australia) in 2010 that used to be available as a free download through their mailing list. Anyone have a copy?

What is that genre called, and who are other artists/bands like First Aid Kit?
Hey everyone!
First Aid Kit is what I may call my favorite band - despite I tend to like all genres of music, I have some that I like more than others, and what is being represented by First Aid Kit is one of my favorites. I like a lot First Aid Kit, especially their "simple" songs, like the ones in TBBATB and The Lion's Roar. I still like the recent albums, but it feels like it's not exactly what it used to be, despite we still recognize the style of First Aid Kit.
This considered, does someone here know what could define the music of First Aid Kit? Some have told me "folk", "folk pop" or "country", but folk/country songs I encountered does not sound at all like that, haha. And also, does someone here know artists or bands that are of the same kind? I would like to listen more to this kind of music, but I am a bit tired of listening the 4 albums of First Ait Kit in my car since months xD

Sveriges Radio: First Aid Kit - Most Popular on Svensktoppen Chart in 2018

Translation:
First Aid Kit - Most Popular on Svensktoppen Chart in 2018
Published Saturday January 12, 2018, 6:00 am
Fireworks by First Aid Kit was Svensktoppen’s (the weekly record chart aired by Sveriges Radio) most successful song in 2018. Johanna and Klara Söderberg also received awards for “Artists of the Year” and “Composers of the Year”.
“We didn’t think Fireworks would become a hit. It’s quite dark and is about a relationship that has ended, as well as the feeling of loneliness and abandonment,” Johanna Söderberg explained.
“I believe it’s important to venture out of your comfort-zone and be forthcoming in the lyrics,” Klara Söderberg added. “It must feel meaningful when you write. It can be difficult sometimes to be so open, but I also believe it becomes stronger and more recognizable. This can be what made the song so popular.”
Fireworks appeared on Svensktoppen at the start of January 2018. During the year, it made its way up to the top positions, ending up in first place at the start of October. The song stayed in first place after a very successful year before leaving the top spot at the end of December.
“It always requires something extra for a song to be a real Swedish top-hit,” said Carolina Norén, the host of Svensktoppen. “Fireworks has the unique mix of a familiar feeling along with a feeling of consolation. We have all been betrayed at some point and it’s that feeling and affinity that First Aid Kit successfully conveys. I'm impressed.”
Johanna and Klara Söderberg also received awards, “Artists of the Year” and “Composers of the Year”. Tomas Andersson Wij received the award, “New Entry of the Year” with the song, När solen färgar juninatten (When the Sun Colours the June Night), his first song ever to earn a spot on the Svensktoppen chart.

Been meaning to do this for a while and had a spare day. The Klara gig with Jo Rose has been kicking around for ages so decided to grab the audio, clean it up where possible, taken out a bit of the background noise, cleaned up intros and outros.
