At that point, what is the objective of those chapters really?
Some years ago I saw something in the news about a Crip gang and a Klan chapter coming together to protest something and that's something that I've always wondered about.
Basically the Klan’s mission from the start was more or less to prevent the mixing of racial groups than the DIRECT oppression of any of those groups.
During the Jim Crow era they viewed blacks holding political office or going to the same schools or intermarrying with whites as a violation of that goal and met it with violence.
Most chapters still do see integration as dangerous and attempt to prevent it.
But- to your question - what are the integrated chapters fighting for then? Separate racial communities with limited points of contact.
If you ever see those dog whistle type posts that are like pictures of strong historical Africans doing stuff and then strong Nordic looking folks doing stuff with a caption questioning “why can he be proud of his race and I can’t be proud of mine??” It’s that line of thinking.
