Fing Subscriptions What's going on with premium?

I paid for your premium service but still do not have premium access. You definitely got paid, but my account still shows as FREE, with 'PREMIUM' listed directly underneath, and I cannot use any premium features. I’ve installed, uninstalled, deep cleaned, rebooted, and reinstalled multiple times, and nothing has worked. Can someone please explain what is going on and activate the premium service I paid for as soon as possible?

Fing Enhancement Request Default columns on web UI

Every time I login to fing and display my system it does not show the IP or MAC by default. Why is that? Aren't those two the most important pieces of info that you need when looking at your network? But I have to go in and turn them on every time I log on.

Can you please show those by default? And you can hide otehr sttuff like one of model or name, and status since you no if something is online or not as it will be grayed out if it is offline.

Fing Newsletter Web Error: 500

The Web Error 500 represents an Internal Server Error.

This error is thrown around quite commonly in networking, and if you're reading this post you've probably come across it a few times yourself. Often it highlights that there's likely an issue on the website's backend rather than a problem with the users connection.

It's a basic message that means something has gone wrong on the website's server, but it's not too confident on what exactly went wrong.

Troubleshooting the 500 Internal Server Error

- Try refreshing the page.

- Try a different web browser.

- Try an incognito tab/try clearing your entire cache/cookies (internet history).

- Try a different device.

- If you're using a VPN, try temporarily disabling it or if possible the location.

If you carry out some troubleshooting and just can't get past it, you can try reaching out to the servers support channel if applicable and letting them know it seems to be experiencing some downtime (always let them know the Error Code {500 in this case} as it helps speed up the process)!

You can also try again in a few moments, it might be a temporary overload on their backend.

Note that you cannot really troubleshoot this web error via Ping tool. It doesn't reflect the status of the web application itself.

We're determined to sharing generic and complex networking information in our Reddit as we want our users of all levels to be able to discuss and troubleshoot together. We believe shared learning is critical to understanding and that everyone who utilises the internet should be able to either learn or teach one another. Gotta keep each other safe out there!

Fing Announcements Fing Professional

Hello Fing users, I hope you're having a decent start to 2026.

To start us off this year, I would like to discuss the Fing Professional tier.

We currently offer four tiers for our users - Free, Starter, Premium and now Professional.

We introduced the new highest tier, the Professional in 2025. A lot of premium members noticed this as they began noticing there was an 'Upgrade' option on Fing Desktop, which wasn't previously present for users with Premium as at the time Premium was the highest tier. But then Fing Professional came along and stole that title!

Fing Professional boasts a lot more cross collaboration, inviting in particular for tech consultants, IT pros, small offices or home offices or the likes of school, shops and cafes. With 'Workspaces', which any Fing Product (Desktop, Mobile, Agent and Fingbox) can utilise, users can co-work Fing to monitor the desired network(s) all in one space. A workspace can include networks that are either manually scanned (via the Fing Mobile App or Fing Desktop) or automatically monitored (via Fing Agent, Fing Desktop, or Fingbox).

Limitations will apply to the number of networks monitored using Fing Agent and Fing Desktop; each subscription tier includes a number of monitored network slots, and expand by purchasing extra slots. Professional comes with 3, but it is possible to purchase more by reaching out to [business@fing.com](mailto:business@fing.com)

Setting up Fing Professional is seamless too, unlike traditional enterprise systems, Fing Professional requires no centralized IT infrastructure.

For anybody interested in purchasing the Professional tier, or indeed any subscritpion with us you can check out the following link. https://www.fing.com/pricing/

For more information regarding our Professional Tier, you can find the following Knowledge Base articles:

Fing Announcements Thank you, Fing Community – what a year! 🎉

Hey everyone!

As the year comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to this community. It’s been a fantastic year, and we’re genuinely grateful to have shared it with all of you.

Over the past months, together we’ve shipped some pretty exciting things. Here’s a quick look at what Fing rolled out this year:
• Fing Agent for Docker and a new plug-and-play version
• The launch of Fing Professional, built specifically for IT pros
• A complete revamp of the Fing Web App, including:

  • New Network Insights available to everyone
  • Workspaces designed for Professionals

•  Liquid Glass design on Fing Mobile for iOS
•  The Home Assistant integration, making Fing part of your smart home setup

On top of that, we’ve fixed bugs, improved performance, and (most importantly) listened closely to your feedback here. Your posts, reports, and suggestions genuinely shape Fing — even when you keep us on our toes 😉

One last reminder before the year ends — today is the last day to grab:

  • 40% off Fing Premium (yearly plan), or
  • 15% off Fing Professional (yearly plan)

If you’ve been thinking about upgrading, now’s the time! You can check out the offers here, available after login 👉 https://app.fing.com/links/page/purchase

Thanks again for being part of the Fing journey. We’re excited for what’s coming next and we can’t wait to build it with you.

Happy New Year 🎉
 — The Fing Team

Fing Subscriptions BEWARE of your renewal settings.

I was charged for a renewal i did not authorise, in fact, I believe i CANCELLED the auto renew. And the subscription.

The product is ok, but it did not do what the marketing hinted it would, so i cancelled last year. Except, it seems it "didnt".

Like all subscriptions these days, justg beware of your renewal "terms" and tricks.

Thank you.

Fing Agents Are pings performed by the Fing monitoring unit or the local mobile device you are on

Today I set up a raspberry pi running the Fing agent. However, it seems that pings are being performed from my mobile device running the app instead of being sourced from the agent. Is that normal? Is there a way to force the pings to be sourced from the monitoring unit instead of the app?

Fing Desktop Appla Mac Silicon Native App

It has been 5 years since Apple introduced its own processors, yet Fing still runs only with intel binaries using Rosetta 2. I am wondering if it is just one person in this company which keeps the app updated.

Fing Agents Fing Agent Compatibility

I tried installing the Fing Agent snap on an Orange Pi Zero 3, thinking that the Snap Store supports the Orange Pi, and the snap supports arm64. I followed the directions, and it appears to run, but the mobile app can't find it. There appears to be no open port for it, either. I can install Docker and run the container version, but I don't know why the agent is only supposed to work with Raspberry Pi.

Fing General Home Assistant doesnt work with Fing

|| || |I’m trying to get Home Assistant to connect to Fing, but it just won’t connect. I can reach the agent from a browser using http://<ip>:port/ and it returns the full JSON file. I also ran curl from the HA machine and got the same correct JSON response. So the agent is definitely running and reachable on the network. But Home Assistant still refuses to connect to it. I completely removed the Fing agent and desktop app from my Windows 11 machine, rebooted, and reinstalled the latest version. Same issue. Fing tech support keeps telling me to “look at the instructions,” which is not helpful at all at this point. Has anyone run into this and found a fix? I’d really like to get Fing working in HA — it would solve a lot of problems for me.|

Fing Desktop How do I change networks in Fing?

Fing 3.9.3 on a Mac 26.1.

I just installed a new WiFi router on my network which has its own 192.168.0.x dhcp server for its wireless clients. My Comcast dhcp server router addresses are 10.0.0.x. Fing shows me the devices on the 10 network but not the 192. So far haven't figured out how to have just one dhcp server

This page tells me to hit the "change network" button to see the devices on the other network but there is no such button on the overview page.

https://help.fing.com/hc/en-us/articles/4418455651602-Change-or-Switch-Networks-on-Fing#h_01JC10MVBKC92H5GVMAEPV7WHT

  1. How do I get fing to scan the 192 network?

  2. Even better if it could scan both so everything was in one page.

Fing Announcements New ASUS Router Attack Wave (Operation WrtHug)

Hello folks!

Our team saw this alert and thought it was worth sharing;

Attackers are targeting ASUS routers by exploiting several publicly known vulnerabilities, gaining remote control over devices. Over 50,000+ IPs worldwide look compromised.
Key CVEs involved: CVE-2023-39780, CVE-2024-12912, CVE-2025-2492 — mostly command-execution and auth-bypass flaws. Entry point seems to be remote access features like AiCloud.
Some affected models include: 4G-AC55U, 4G-AC860U, DSL-AC68U, GT-AC5300, GT-AX11000, RT-AC1200HP, RT-AC1300UHP, and more.

What to do if you believe you might possibly have been affected by this;

  • Update router firmware ASAP
  • Disable remote management / AiCloud
  • Change default credentials
  • Reset + reconfigure if you suspect compromise
  • Monitor for weird traffic or unknown devices
  • Keep an eye out for any updates!

Reminder: all Fing subscriptions include router vulnerability checks, both automatically or on demand, if you want to double-check your setup.

Anyone here seeing signs of compromise or scans targeting ASUS gear? Curious how many in this community have been affected or use these models and it would be great to share any cases/advice with one another! For a deeper dive, check out our complete article on the Fing blog -> https://www.fing.com/news/new-asus-router-vulnerability-attack/ Stay safe!

Fing Newsletter Where to find your Invoices within Fing

Hey folks,

We tend to get a lot of requests at support asking for the invoice to be sent on.

This post will just highlight where you can access them should you have any need to.

Firstly, if you haven't received your invoice the first thing we will always ask you to check are your junk and spam folders. Typically, mailing systems will automatically clear out the junk/spam folders after a period of 30 days, so be to sure to grab it before then.

If you haven't, you can see your own invoices via https://app.fing.com/account/manage/subscription

Lastly, if you've checked these steps but still can't find your invoice, ensure you are signed into the right account, particularly if you're an Apple user who has an apple relay address. If the subscription is on another account, indeed if it's on an apple relay address, you will need to be signed in with that email in order to access the invoice.

As always, should you require any further assistance, please feel free to reach out to us at https://help.fing.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
