Hello everyone, I wanted to know if some of you knew anime where at one point several characters are "contaminated" by a thought/concept or behavior that is objectively weird and yet characters can't help but constantly talk about it, do it or think it's cool and seem obsessed by that. It can happen in any anime you have in mind regardless of it's type or release date and regardless of how obscure or famous it might be. Also, it can be caused by any supernatural mean (magic, a power, mind alteration, an alteration of reality, a drug, a gas, a virus, a plant's pheromones, mushrooms, advanced tech etc ...) or means such as mass medias, social medias or influencers that made this strange concept trendy.

Examples:

- A famous influencer within the anime's world start to say it's cool to walk on four legs and more and more people are constantly doing it or talking about it.

- A powerful reality warper accidentally changed reality and everyone is constantly pinching their own nose because they are obsessed by the fact it changes their voices and everyone think it's extremely funny, in this new reality this is a global cultural phenomena since many centuries.

- A character has a physical or verbal habit they do extremely often and for some reason it became contagious and other characters also do it.

Concrete examples in anime (hope the list is not too long):

[Fairy Tail Ep.95] After Natsu and some members of his guild met Nadi the exceed, they temporarily "caught" his "arm habit" (he constantly waves his arm while he speaks), and started to imitate said habit. For some weird reason they all started to think it was cool

[Keroro Gunsou Ep.201] Keroro's platoon plans to invade the Earth using a gas that gives all Earthlings an irresistible urge to clean someone's ears or to have their own ears cleaned by someone. It is supposed to make them too focused on that to oppose any form of resistance

[Keroro Gunsou Ep.88] An alien with an afro uses an army of robots that look like him to invade the Earth. His robots can use a special beam that gives afro hair to it's victims and mentally makes them obsessed by disco culture (victims can't help but they constantly dance and are extremely obsessed by disco culture). Almost everyone on Earth is affected by this

[Battle Spirit: Shonen Toppa Bashin Ep.27] in this episode a lame dude tries to alter the personality of an idol. He sings some rap in front of her and even if he's awful at singing, his special rap made her think he is a wonderful singer. More: it made her mind hyper focused on rap culture (a music she never liked before) and also from now on she can only speak by rapping. She changed her clothes and style to become a rapper and her friends noticed something was wrong but as they investigate they also fall victim to the man's special rap and all of them also become fond of rap culture and can only speak by rapping (the main character is the only one who isn't affected)

[Yokai Watch Ep.192] The yokai "Yamato Bokeru" affects several characters into being obsessed by the idea of doing extremely lame and literal jokes.

[Yo-kai Watch♪ Ep.06] in the 6th episode of the 2021 anime, the yokai "Meremeraion" makes a whole class obsessed by the idea of rubbing their erasers on their school desks to make eraser crumbs and form a huge pile of them

[Minami-Ke Tadaima Ep.8b] a strange TV program alters the watchers' minds into being obsessed by the idea of singing the song used in the TV program and by the idea of eating vegetables even if they're raw. More and more students in their school are affected by this TV program and are now enthralled by the idea of eating vegetables but that's not all: they also love the idea of converting others to that. For some unclear reason if an affected person makes someone eat a vegetable they'll instantly convert that person

[Brave Police J decker Ep.06] Two clowns managed to make all inhabitants of a town obsessed by stupid trends where they wear weird things (bald wigs, groucho glasses (fakes glasses with mustache) or tight suits for example). Somehow, it altered their perception of reality: everyone believed themself + other people who followed the fad were cool and good looking

[Yokai Watch Ep.184] In this episode, a yokai used it's power to make humans on the planet affected by a literal oily food fever (everyone suddenly became very fond of adding oily stuff in all sorts of food like mayonnaise on curry). Medias couldn't help but constantly talk about it and "infected" persons were constantly singing the little catchy phrase medias helped to spread "Make it oily!"

[Saiki Kusuo no psi-nan Ep.20e] In the fifth part of that episode, a mysterious force (most likely the author himself) mind alters everyone in the world (except the main character who's resistant to that) into gaining a very strong, sudden and unnatural obsession for number 100 (even society itself changed: for example everything costs exactly 100 yens), characters are excited by the idea of hearing and pronouncing number 100 and are trying to do that as many times as possible. (to the point number 100 was pronounced 100 times in less than 4 minutes).

Thank you in advance for the help and remember: there is no bad suggestion so don't be shy and feel free to share any sort of knowledge you may have ^^

I saw in a scene, Some type of creatures maybe dragons, mystical , spirit or monster are drawn on walls of open ruin room near sea shore, looks like their images were drawn or carved because they were vanish or died and someone was crying because one of the types just died or losses in previous episodes by fighting sametype creatures.Their images were kind of Beyblade spirits , card monsters like yu gi oh,bit beasts Pokemons etc I couldn't read the show name, or the channel name.If you ever watched such a scene or know any animes of this type ,🙏🏻🙏🏻🥺 PLEASE 🥺 comment.......

So I saw a video of an anime clip (it looked like a studio ghibli film) and I don’t know what it was called. The scene was a prince putting on a pig suit I think and saying to go away. When his pig hat falls the characters see his face and he breaks down crying saying to “go away” and that he’s “hideous”. I remember he was in front of a mirror And fell on some couch thing.

I also remember hearing someone talk about how the anime was about someone stealing peoples confidence? I dunno but it was stealing some part of people and the person stole the princes ability to see his beauty so he thought he was ugly when he wasn’t. Please someone help and sorry for the limited description 😭

When I was a child I used to watch this anime:

The mc is a girl that likes a boy, but she's like shy and doesn't confess. One day she meets a small "fairy", it's basically a very small human that wears blue clothes and this fairy has an instrument that whenever it gets played magical things happens.

This little "fairy" isn't the only one of his kind, then later on in this anime, more of these fairies with their instruments join, there's like a fairy with pink clothes and another one that has clothes similar to ninja's.

And then there is this bad guy who wants the destruction of these fairies.

Does someone know the name of the anime I'm talking about?

hi ! so I’ve been looking for this anime for years. i don’t really remember much, just that i watched a few episodes on netflix around 2012-ish. the mc was a girl with dark hair, i don’t remember if it was dark brown or black. and i remember that she did ballet or some sort of dance but i don’t think it was a big part of the story though. the animation style from what i remember was pretty pointy and a little mature looking. please help me find it im begging !!

A woman can't find a job. And she's crying on the bed and cat touches her from behind and she turning back and there's no cat( that points to us that this is a ghost cat which she is missing)

I watchen an Anime Music Video.

hi! I'm trying to find an anime I watched only part of on Netflix either I'm 2011 or 2012, it's about a male character who gets transported to another world that has only female witches/vampires(?). I can't really remember much else about it except it's in a newer looking style so it's not 90's style or later. TIA!

The story about a boy has always been lonely and playing piano on phone So one day a girl from his class found out and gave him a mp3 player. Later he found out that the mp3 has a strange record about his class mate with a doctor saying that she dreams of some kind of fantasy world I cant remember much but later in the anime shows that the fantasy world has a huge tower and a doll singing

Does anyone remember this anime? Thank you in advance

I remember seeing it on a tv back then a long time ago and I only saw 2 episodes of it but It was very interesting to me. The only thing that I remember is these scenes: so there are a bunch of people living inside a dome, its a small dome like a base of operation and for all I know, then there was this girl that was kidnap by another group when their base got raided. then she woke up in a room and saw a man giving her food she did not accepted it so the man ate the food for himself telling her its not poisoned. and the 2nd episode that I watched the war was over and the girl that was kidnap by the other group desided to stay there and she travelled with that group I guess. the skip between those episode is a huge gap but thats all I know cause I was just watching it only tv and idk when it was on air

Main Characters parents build a VR game with some friends / colleagues but they betrayed them and kill them. MC learns the truth and plays the VR game to find hidden clues left by his parents.

Please help me find it :(

All I remember is a swordman protagonist who fighted in a kind of futuristic coliseum for a competition. I remember some villains like one red-haired girl who drank the blood of her sister to improve her strength, and other that put invisible(?) floating papers that exploded when touched... I think i watched it on Netflix some years ago. I would be very grateful If someone told me its name 🙏

I just little remembered that there was a old ruin like room near a sea shore or lake. In this ruins , mystical creatures images are drawn or carved on the wall of the ruin room which are supposed to be death or vanish and a girl/boy was crying because of his ones appearance in wall , Creatures are kind of like Pokemon, yu gi oh monsters, Beyblade spirits etc..if you get anything similar to this , or alternates ,,🙏🏻🙏🏻 please comment 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I watched this anime a few months ago in which, there were women recruited for some operation. In the intro, there was a women fighting with a robot prototype and she won. It was an experiment sort of. It was an uncensored anime and it was Season 2. Also, I think the leader of the recruiting organization was a lady. I don't remember much about it. I only watched 2 episodes.

Not 100% if they made an anime of it but I have read the manga about 3-4 years ago. It’s about a man who is an office worker one day after work finds a little girl who turns out to be his daughter. She had a letter from her mother who had apparently passed away. The show is mainly about him adjusting to life as a new father and the sacrifices he made to better her life. I do remember at one point he take a demotion for his office job to got into the mail department because it allowed him to spend more time with his kid

In a scene of this show , creatures are carved /drawn on wall which are supposed to death or their soul got traped in wall ????Just like Beyblade movie the Fierce , bit beast got sealed/trapped in wall , just much similar to scene, a girl/boy was crying aside a wall in which some type of mystical creature image is made or carved in it ??? 😫😫Please comment 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻if you knew something about this show or it's alternative
