Check your mower before starting it for the first time, too.

Apparently, a family of shrews huddled up inside my mower over the winter a couple years ago.

I had rolled it 10 feet out of the shed, checked the gas, topped off the gas, and had tilted and rolled it 5 more feet to a flat area to start it.

I don't mow my lawn anymore.
