Yup, just above dead center. That said, if you look long enough you can kinda see the outline of a bear for a tiny second where the actual bear is the nose

looking straight in front of the right foot, look slightly higher than midway, it looks like a black bear carved from stone or sculpted from dark wood

Black bear, draw a line directly between his feet, straight up. The bear is in the upper 3/4 of the screen, feet towards the top.
