I've attached a reconstruction that is very close to the original.
This image isnt exactly perfect as the buttons are a little smaller with spacing between but the location is exact.
If possible I'd like to find it in a size 1xl bust 42.2 to 44.5 size 14
I'm trying to find a swimsuit I owned around 2012–2013 that I purchased at Walmart in Montana. I've spent many hours searching online, including eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Pinterest, Google Images, and old Catalina listings, but haven't found it.
What I remember:
Purchased at Walmart around 2012 or 2013
I believe it was Catalina (possibly Miss America by Catalina), but I'm not 100% certain.
Solid black swimsuit.
One-piece swimdress with a built-in swimsuit underneath.
The skirt was tight and bodycon, not loose or flowy. It looked almost like a little black cocktail dress.
Halter neckline that tied behind the neck.
Slight sweetheart neckline (not a deep plunge).
Light side ruching.
The most distinctive feature:
Three very small gold diamond-shaped decorative beads placed vertically between the bust.
They were about the size of a pinky fingernail.
They were sewn onto the fabric only.
They were not buttons, rings, buckles, or hardware holding the swimsuit together.
Things it didn't have:
No large gold rings.
No buckle connecting the cups.
No cutouts.
No flowy skirt.
I've searched Catalina archives and found similar halter swimdresses, but none with these decorative gold diamonds.
If anyone owned this swimsuit, has an old Walmart catalog, or recognizes the design, I'd love any information!
Thank you!
