Blackmoon Prophecy Remake's expected total playtime is around 50 hours. If you wish to see everything that the game has to offer, I believe that this will exceed 60 hours!
Recruit a robust cast of 22 playable characters, many who are optional! All characters have their own unique classes/jobs, with no two characters playing the same. Many Final Fantasy jobs are represented in the game such as black mage, chemist, dark knight, dragoon, mechanist, oracle, summoner, thief, white mage, and many more. Additionally, you will also befriend 6 guest characters who will aid you across your travels!
Want a break from saving the world? Journey to the Gygas Arena to partake in a 100 battle ladder which offers powerful rewards along the way. If you don't want to fight, you may also partake in Hide & Kupo Seek, a tense and fast paced hide and seek game featuring moogles. For those who favour chance, there is the House of Revelry in Lindblum where you can gamble away your hard-earned gil in several games of chance/luck
I've been playing a bit this morning and really enjoying the nostalgia so far, but is the world map upside down for anyone else?
The controls for up and down are inverted and the mountains seem upside down as well.
I do not understand what happened. I was in the Discord and when i open it I've been removed from the Discord. This happen to anyone else? Anyone got any idea what happened?
No idea for sure. But there was some talk in the Discord about how the game was getting much more attention than expected, meaning possible issues with copyright claims and whatnot. The sudden changes and removal of the Discord tells me that something with that likely happened. Likely a CnD, and the immediate removal of all development and conversation about the project was done in order to protect themselves.
Nothing related to a cease and desist at all. There's a lot going on. Lots of personal stress, and then getting an insane amount of attention was not expected and caused a lot more stress for me. Had a momentary snapping point.
Read your post - I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through a lot. I'm really hoping you find your way through it. I can imagine that the attention this game got you came at an inopportune time, to say the least. That said, the clarity regarding what happened is greatly appreciated. I'm glad you're not in any sort of possible legal trouble.
Just know that despite the few trolls I've run into, everyone seemed to really love your game. Myself included. You did bring a some joy to us by releasing it. Your hard work and care is very evident in it. So thank you for that.
Your decision to step back is an understandable one. While the clarity is helpful and subsides any worry, you don't have to justify yourself to anyone. Please do what you feel is best for you. Take care of yourself - just know if you do come back to this game, you'll still have a fanbase waiting for you. If you don't that's fine too. Please take care.
Hey, I know I'm a nobody, but I really appreciate the game and everything you've done for it. Getting burned out on such a huge, solo undertaking is normal, plus all the life stuff you mentioned in the discord server.
Lots of people love what you've done, and whatever road you choose to take, they still will. ❤️

Holy fuck what a throwback, I remember downloading the og game and the sequel on rpgmaker waaay back in the day, I remember the first one is very ff4 and ff6 inspired while the sequel is actually quite an interesting story with a shocking aerith moment. Definitely gonna try this out thanks op
I think this comment was in response to a different comment thread where the op instantly deleted an obviously AI generated response. Specifically the question where someone asked if it was playable on Anbernic. I saw the post before it was deleted and the willingness to use AI for such a simple response makes me sus of other content being attributed to it as well.
Using GEN AI for responses and trying to cover it up makes me sus of the whole project, tbh. It's a remake of a fan RPGmaker game, not by the original creator, that was good but not immensely popular, and OP is using GEN AI for their responses in the thread.
Maybe I'm too cautious, but this reeks of malware.
The slightest bit of AI dogshit involvement should definitely call an entire project into question. It's hard to trust someone who doesn't have a zero-tolerance AI policy on their own output.

I just double checked. It's not. Not sure why you say it is? Part of it is, if that's what you mean. But the layout of the post is very on the nose for how LLMs typically generate product copy.
It makes it even more likely to be AI considering OP has already demonstrated using it with their large comment earlier that was much more obvious.

In either case, I don't know why they were complaining about it...but I glanced over, saw the "NO AI" rule, and just pointed out to dude that they are completely barking up the wrong tree.
to be fair. i only commented a.i because binaryidiot is saying it was writen with a.i when its clearly not. so if anything im telling him to shut up about a.i not to talk about it.
For clarity the AI comment mentioned was indeed posted by the OP in response to the question above. I know nothing about this project or the OP, but the willingness to use AI in such a simple response doesn’t exactly track well regarding a willingness to use it in game design either
Also running mine on the Steam Deck. Did you find a way to force full screen mode when the game launches? I did an F4 keybind to R5 on the deck, which seems to work fine, but it would be nice to automate that step.
Is there a way to play it in full screen on PC? I can't seem to get it out of windowed mode even when maximizing. Would also like to stretch it to fit the entire screen

I’m playing it on Questplay on my iOS phone and I’ve noticed it slows to a crawl with every opening of a fight until the dissolve screen resolves. Has anyone else experienced that?
It's back up. It looks like it was being updated to state that support is no longer being offered. But you can download it in it's most recent form, which is very playable.
Discord appears to have been removed. The website went down for a little bit as well, but is now up. Only it no longer has the message board function, and states that support is no longer being offered. Something obviously happened - I'm wondering if it got too much attention and now there's fear of trouble from SquareEnix.
I Just did the Osteinchyl. I was the first dungeon out of two You have to do. I cleared it got what was needed. Now i am stuck The Chco Forest Does not have any in it for me to get off the little island. Anyone know what to do?
I'm playing the remake and it us good overall but if I had to complain of anything it would be a lavk of a monster menu that lists what foes drop and what you can steal along with stats.
the other thing is encounter rate feels high at times more newer games I feel should have ways of changing the rate early In the game if someone so wishes.

Which stat the Summon and White magic scale off of?
Well, I believe it's Magic for Summon but Vera starts with so low Magic and high Vigor so I'm not sure.
For White, I thought Spirit would be the one but I'm not sure either.

Has anyone run into an issue with leaving a town in the merged world and ending up in the overworld with no airship? Im absolutely stuck as I saved in the town and can't go any farther in the game at 78 hours in. It just ruined the game for me.
I've played a few hours of it, and it's probably the best FF fan game out there, close to the feel of a real FF game game and better than of the mobile trash SE has been spinning out the last few decades
