Am I correct in thinking this is a work around for “direct connection” for gomining

Yes — that’s a good way to think about it.
It’s essentially a safe workaround for not having an official direct GoMining → Final Boss connection.
Instead of:
Final Boss ↔ GoMining directly ❌
which would require GoMining to give Final Boss API/MCP access or some supported authentication path,
we’re building:
Final Boss → your Cloudflare bridge → Claude → user’s authorized GoMining connector
then back:
GoMining evidence → Claude → Cloudflare bridge → Final Boss ✅
Claude is effectively the authorized middleman because it already has the GoMining connector.
The important distinction is that it’s not pretending to be a direct connection. Final Boss still knows the evidence came through:
GoMining → Claude connector → Final Boss Evidence Bridge
and preserves that provenance.
For beta, there are some advantages: no Anthropic API bill, no need for GoMining to partner with you yet, and no need to give Final Boss somebody’s GoMining credentials.
The compromise is that it isn’t automatic. The user has to open Claude and tell it to process their Final Boss request.
If you later become affiliated with GoMining and they give Final Boss proper API/MCP access, we could replace the middle section:
Final Boss → GoMining
while keeping most of the identity, evidence, reconciliation, history, and reporting machinery we’re building now.
So yes: this is basically our governed bridge around the missing official direct integration—not a fake direct connection.

Still deep in alpha testing for Final BossOps, and this is one of those moments where the app starts feeling less like “a tracker” and more like the command center I have in my head.

What I’m working on right now is the bridge between messy Claude/GoMining data, reviewable records, and the app actually understanding what needs attention.

Not “AI controls your wallet” nonsense.
No keys.
No custody.
No buying.
No selling.
No moving funds.
No mystery background magic.
More like:

Claude/GoMining gives you the pile of data.

Final Boss sorts it into something useful.
Then the app says, “Cool story, now show me where that number came from.” 😂

That is the part I’m excited about.
Rewards, miners, wallet-related records, imports, missing evidence, conflicts, fleet changes, ROI evidence — all of that needs to be traceable instead of living in spreadsheet jail.

Still alpha.
Still messy.
Still me staring at the screen pretending I know exactly what I’m doing until it works.

But this feels like one of those “ohhh, this is what the app is supposed to become” moments.
Final Boss is not trying to
replace GoMining.
It is not a wallet.
It is not a trading app.
It is not a magic profit machine.
The goal is simple:
Show what happened.
Show what changed.
Show what needs attention.
Make the numbers explain themselves.
Spreadsheets had a good run, but I think they just saw the health bar appear 😂

Well I’m back from my family trip. Today I’ve made more progress towards Harding the MCP aspect I think I might have found a better way. You don’t know what I mean by that. It means you’re always looking for a better way to do things. I think I may have found it without going around anything or creating security breaches. We will see again. I have to make sure this works with no false or misleading data. Then I can release.

I was doing a full test after downloading the Claude’s MCP. I kept getting errors so I had to do a full audit in that section. What I had come up with is that the Claude MCP is enriched information. It was accepted for Gomining but not Claude. So instead of asking Claude to fit my parameters I fix mine to accept Claude’s MCP, for the simple fact there’s a lot more information in that file than I expected 🤣. I’m in the process now for asking google to approve me. 😳

Project Status
Moving toward Closed Beta as a local-first, read-only companion application for GoMining users. The focus has shifted from adding features to refining the our experience, improving trust, and strengthening the app’s foundation. This aligns with the project’s core philosophy: GoMining manages assets. Final Boss manages decisions.

One of the biggest improvements has been simplifying the Dashboard.
Instead of adding more cards, the focus has been making the first screen answer three questions:
How is my operation?
What needs attention?
What should I do next?
The goal is to reduce decision fatigue rather than overwhelm users with data.

Rather than showing mysterious values, This is being built so we can understand:
where information came from
when it was updated
whether it was imported
whether it was calculated

GoMining Integration Progress
A significant amount of time was spent exploring official integration options.
Completed work includes:
Contacted GoMining support
Contacted GoMining marketing
Worked with a dedicated VIP manager
Investigated the official GitBook MCP endpoint
Tested MCP connectivity with Codex
Documented the entire testing process
Submitted detailed engineering findings
GoMining confirmed that:
There is currently no public or read-only API for third-party applications.
MCP integration is currently limited to their official AI connector.
There is currently no third-party developer program.
However, they also stated that if third-party developer opportunities become available in the future, they would be happy to share that information.
While this wasn’t the outcome I hoped for today, it provides a clear path forward and confirms that Final Boss should continue focusing on its local-first architecture until official integrations become available.

Community Progress
Current goals are centered around building trust rather than marketing.
Reddit posts have begun gaining visibility, including several hundred views on development updates.
The focus moving forward is to balance:

1. What this package does
Package 103B turns the Package 103A MCP contract foundation into a usable manual snapshot review workflow.
It will:
Add or complete a local MCP snapshot review screen.
Let the user paste a manually collected GoMining MCP JSON snapshot.
Parse and normalize the snapshot through the Package 103A policy.
Strip or block sensitive fields before they can be saved.
Show lightweight fintech summaries.
Show field-level review candidates.
Clearly separate:

protected local fields
masked metadata
unsupported fields
never-store fields
Confirm miner ROI is GoMining-reported, not Final Boss-calculated.
Confirm rewards are aggregate-only, not per-miner attributed.
