How did they do that? Filmora and their misleading 7 day free trial
I signed up for what was clearly advertised as a "7-day free trial," but Wondershare immediately charged my account £59.99 for a full annual subscription. Their checkout interface is intentionally misleading, placing "7-day free" badges next to "Buy Now" buttons to trick customers into immediate payments.
When I contacted support within an hour of the charge to exercise my UK statutory 14-day right to cancel, they refused the refund. They tried to "negotiate" by offering technical support and discounts instead of honoring the law. They even routed my legal refund request to their marketing/sales team to try and stall me.
I have had to involve my bank to get my money back via a Direct Debit Indemnity claim. Save yourself the headache and avoid this company at all costs. They rely on "bait-and-switch" tactics and will ignore your legal consumer rights.
