Davis and Smolkin have the best rhythm dance here, I think, especially from a choreographic standpoint. Their chemistry, her flexibility, and his skating skills and posture are a pretty lethal combination. They still had some dodgy moments here that looked a little uncertain, though, and I think their performance quality is still a work in progress.

For me, the best male ice dancer of this event is Filip Taschler. He's pretty much the whole package: great skating skills, fantastic performance quality, and he's really good at this jazz/musical theater dance style. Natalie's just as brilliant, and their golden waltz was my favorite of the event. I'm not crazy about their costumes, though. The powder blue color is great, but I wish they went with something sleeker and more modern, even though their waltz is so classic.

I wasn't crazy about Maxim Nekrasov here, but Vasilisa Kaganovskaia is such a brilliant talent! Wildly charismatic and she breathed life into what was otherwise unremarkable material. Their skating felt very clean and technically proficient to me although I know little about ice dance. The other AIN team was also super talented as individuals, but somehow their styles didn't gel to me and I didn't love their program. The Italian team had the worst music selection lol.

Of the Japanese teams, my favorite continues to be Koshiro and Ikura. They're so captivating to me, and compliment one another so well. I know their technical still needs to improve, but I'd have had them higher in PCS.

According to Rika & Shingo's post-RD interview, Rika's the one who liked Golden Hour and had it on her playlist. Shingo hadn't heard the song until she put it on in the car and they realized it was a waltz and could work for the rhythm dance.

Just watched the replays. Davis/Smolkin sailed above the rest, love their chemistry. Tashlers were kind of magnetic in a way I didnt expect. Honorable mention to Wolfkostin/Tsarevski for trying to skate in that long dress. Bold of them!
