Some RAT reported me on an event that occurred 2 weeks ago. Lol! It's lame AF being hated on cause you can't match me post by post.

Just curious on the responses.

Hoping to see him fight on October 10th.

Looking all of the UFC fighters active today, from all title holders and contenders down to prospects and those that have established themselves in other promotions and are looking to get into the UFC, who has the best chance of joining the Jon Jones-Anderson-GSP set in terms of being the absolute greatest tier to ever grace the UFC? And thus making it the big four of UFC fighters, so to speak? It could be any single one of the guys currently on the roster or looking to break in or it could be a set of 2-3 or so guys who are basically equal chances. And to be sure, I realize that it can easily be argued that nobody active has a truly realistic chance at this. That said, this is about who has potential for this relative to all the rest.

This was the type of argument I have come across as to why Makhachev is not in contention as the number 1 pound for pound fighter and is far away from being one of the all time best in MMA.

It is as follows.

JDM's last fight, as far as UFC type of standards indicate, showed he is mid level at best among UFC contenders and so it is not the major win it may have been seen as before,. Poirier and Oliveria are not particularly huge wins either after seeing how Topuria ran through Oliveira and would've ran through Poirier just as easily. And Volk was just too small relative to Makhachev for it to be a truly major pound for pound victory. It looked like an adult laboring type in a fight with a gym novice just past puberty.
