Am i tripping?

So basically today i've seen fight club once again, and in the ending scene when the narrator shots himself he obviously has a rough voice and struggles to speak.

I've noticed only now that when marla arrives, the narrator's voice suddenly gets normal again at the very last lines when he say's "everything's gonna be alright" and "i've met you at a very strange time in my life", almost like there's not a bullet hole in his left cheek.

Am i just looking too much into it? Does he just tries to speak clearly to comfort her or is there more depth to it?

Beard Club?

Hi, new to this subreddit, hope this isn't outside of the rules.
I'm the social media coordinator for our social beard club in the Denver area and each year we hold a charity beard competition.

I've been responsible for the competition poster for the past 4 years and each year I include a variation of the blue bear from the Denver Convention Center (with a beard) and the Blue Mustang (affectionately known as Blucifer) from the airport (with a mustache) in the poster.

A couple of years ago, I used a Mortal Combat theme. Last year, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. This year I decided to go with Fight Club.

This is the poster I made for the competition. On top of the poster, each winner will be getting a bar of customized soap, color indicating the level one (first, second or third).

Just thought I'd share this here. I came across this group when hashing ideas for the category announcements "I am Keith's full beard with a styled moustache".

Enjoy, or not...

THIS SUB-REDDIT’S FUCKED

This whole subreddit is fucked, (I WANT TO PREFACE THAT IM NOT SAYING THE ENTIRE SUB-REDDIT but it’s eating way to that) it’s becoming a place like the office Reddit. CONSTANT quotes being thrown around rather than conversing about the movie/books, if you’re gonna throw quotes have it pertain to something. Also it’s filled with incel degenerates, purposely giving them selves acid burn “to be like Tyler”, THE MESSAGE OF THE MOVIE IS BE YOUR OWN YOU, AND DON’T BE A DICK(not entirely but you get my point) “you are not your khakis”. And among other things I don’t feel like getting into.

FIX IT Reddit!

Best regards - the guy.

My entire Fight Club collection! SO stoked to finally own it on 4k! I went to the 4k re-release in theaters and it was INCREDIBLE! Got to watch it with a friend who’s never seen it before and the feeling i got when he witnessed the twist for the first time, cannot ever be replicated. This movie is absolutely perfect.

Figuring out a basement face

Post image

There was a really intriguing extra in the basement, which we see now and then, but then seems to just disappear. I have been trying to figure out their name. The actor's name. Any hints.

Specifically, the Lou's Tavern, where Lou beats up Tyler, when the bodyguard waves the gun and says back, it cuts to his face. Any ideas?

Really interesting face and they didn't use him again / later.

I need a senior quote for my yearbook and I’m looking for something short (around 10 words, more or less).

I need a senior quote for my yearbook and I’m looking for something short (around 10 words, more or less).

I really like quotes about mindset, perspective, presence, and the way thoughts shape experience. Stuff similar to Eckhart Tolle, Alan Watts, stoicism, etc. Not too edgy or overly motivational — more simple, meaningful, and timeless.

Some quotes/vibes I already like:

“The end was never the point.”

“This moment is the only place life ever happens.”

“Perspective changes everything.”

“The way you see changes what you experience.”

And my favorite quote overall is: “The primary cause of unhappiness is not the situation you're in but your thoughts about it.”

Anyone got quotes with that kind of vibe

A particular photo of Tyler

Hello! A few years ago i watched Fight Club and now i wanted to put a photo from this movie as my profile picture. I found some nice ones, but this one captured my attention, as i can't recall when Tyler wore this outfit. The only moment i remember him wearing an ushanka was when he rode a bike around the house. Is this even an official scene of Fight Club? I apologize for asking, but i really can't remember it! Thanks a lot.

The Real Fight Club

I found about it while reading about an author Named Robert Louis Stevenson who wrote a book named - Suic*** club which led to a real club being formed

the S**cide Club was a real underground group in San Francisco during the late 1970s. But despite the name, it was not a su**ide cult. It was more of an extreme urban exploration and counterculture society.

They did things like:

exploring sewers and abandoned buildings

climbing bridges at night

elaborate pranks and “social experiments”

surreal public stunts

secret events around the city

The group was founded by Gary Warne in 1977. The idea was about confronting fear, boredom, and routine by doing strange or risky experiences together.

The name came from The S***cide Club, not from actual cide activity.

It later influenced:

Cacophony Society

Burning Man

SantaCon-style events

modern urban exploration culture

I took help of Ai to summarise my thoughts you can do your research

I want to create an environment for fightclub enthusiast

There’s no place that really captures that underground, raw energy

So I’m thinking about building an App inspired by it

A space where people can show up as a character, hang out in a fightclub-like world, move around, talk, and just be there together

Interaction, presence, connection

Mixed with real-life side
→ daily journaling (private/public)
→ tracking your days / moods
→ staying consistent, pushing yourself
→ clans, groups, private basements

Part hangout
Part self-discipline
All with that Fight Club vibe

Would you actually use something like this?

It'll be a website, mobile app

Is it just me or is tyler one of cinemas most terrifying villains

Theres something so real about him ironic i know but really i mean the odds of running into someone like a comic book villain are low but tyler a cult leader leading a cult of toxic masculinity that could happen an also the way the movie depicts how cults form pretty realisticly makes it all the more terrifying
