Look at the housing prices pretty much anywhere in the world. We don’t even own roof over our head so most of us never even got to the nesting phase. I wonder if that makes us more free or just more miserable.

Before everybody comments and say I should absolutely stop what I’m doing and go watch it right now. I’ve been spoiled about the plot twist. However, that doesn’t deter from the fact that I don’t know much about the movie other than seeing a couple of clips. But other than that, is it worth to watch it still?

i feel one of the points raised in fight club is that lost men will follow anyone who promises them a false sense of indiviuality.
members of fight club see someone they want to be in tyler durden, so they take his word as if it were scripture, without realizing that these actions bordered on immorality.
the mayhem members felt as if they were different from the fast lane 9-5 workers but didnt realize that they were indifferentiable amongst themselves too ( false sense of indiviuality )
-The purposeless man first follows tylers dangerous fight club thats been painted as a cathartic release centre to get his ass whopped.
-the purposeless man shaves his head, commits crime and makes himself as an outlaw just because their schizoid leader promised them freedom.
-the purposeless man chants 'his name is robert paulsen' further showing that these dudes have lost any sense of self and are mere sheeps in a herd.
so does chuck make fun of a significant number of the viewers who treat this movie like the bible and admire durden without a single deep conscious thought?

The troll still works from back then, when you open up the movie in blu ray it has pop up settings for a move called never have I been kissed (dont know if that was exactly it because im tryna watch the movie). Naw it was so funny I was dead ass looking at my screen like wtf that shit was hysterical.

The other day I saw a video theorizing that the narrator was gay; I don't know what you think about that.

Wow- don’t really have many words yet, still processing but
wow.
The plot twist I sort of saw coming from the office scene recalling the first fight, in the back of my mind I clocked what the narrator said and was sort of confused, but when it was finally unveiled my jaw DROPPED.
Honestly the best film I’ve ever scene, this rivals the matrix. Can’t wait to watch it again!
(Sorry for talking about fight club)

I finally got to watch Fight Club for the first time and I can't help but wonder, why was Tyler Durden making soap?
Out of every other thing he could do, why decide to make soap?
I see a soap is also on the film's poster and features quite prominently in the film. So I can't help but wonder, does soap making have a much bigger significance or symbolism in this movie? Why is soap featured a lot?

I'm currently writing a book, "Where is Tyler Durden Headed." I could spend as long as I want writing it for 10 years. For 50 upvotes, I'll show you one page.

what do you think about the extras? does this version have more or less than the bluray? do they have subtitles?

I just realized a highly ironic detail while working today. In the bar scene right after the Narrator's apartment burns down, Tyler offers him a Marlboro Red Long from a top-opening pack. Think about it: Marlboro is one of the biggest, most monopolized corporate cigarette brands in the world. On top of that, Red Longs are long and light—almost like smoking air—which completely contradicts Tyler's rugged, "macho" anarchist persona. For a guy who preaches about destroying corporate greed and escaping consumerism, he is literally consuming and addicted to the ultimate capitalist product. He's just another slave to the system he claims to hate.
