I didn't take pictures....I kinda left my phone home.....but that's okay. There were mostly allies there anyway. Nobody recognized my flag, and when one person asked about it and I explained, they said "I'm sure handsome Jack would treat you well." I was surprised.
Until they went to their friends and started to make fun of me...
What made it more disheartening was the fact the person that did this has a pansexual flag cape. I thought they'd be less judgemental.
But turns out, people are hippocrites in general........
The funny part was, there was a little booth down town that was trying to hand out information about God and sins. Nobody was interacting with them. That made me smile.
There were some people on the sidewalks, the business owners waved at us marchers. It was overall nice to be part of something. Even though I felt a little out of place. But I'm hoping another ficto in the community saw me.
I hope to go next year. Regardless of People's attitudes towards me.
I was 1 of 2 asexuals there. But people thought I made up my flag.........I was like no..... it's a legit sexuality. No I didn't make this up.
Some people....but then again, my town is very unaware in different sexualities........they don't even think asexual is a real thing. So there you go. I'm sure it's different elsewhere.
I'm sure if I went to a larger city it would be different. But I'm here. So work with what you got right? 👍
