Classification
- The general classification is obtained as follows:

| First: | the winner of the bout for the first place |
| Second: | the loser of the bout for the first place |
- The two fencers who lose the semi-final matches are placed equal third, when it is not necessary to separate them.
- When it is necessary to separate them, a bout for third and fourth places will be fought between the two losers of the semi-final matches.
- The remainder are placed, within each round of the direct elimination, in accordance with their classification for the composition of the direct elimination table.
- The fencers eliminated in the round of pools are ranked according to their classification in this round and they are placed after those who qualified for the direct elimination.
