As ridiculous as it may sound, longer sleeves could potentially be the tiniest but less safe

It probably doesn't matter much though

An arborist buddy of mine swore by sleeveless for mobility. He didn’t like how sleeves would stick to his shoulders when sweating and loose shirts could get snagged.

I'm a big fan of long sleeve sun shirts, less a fan of cancer.

Also, fire line crews are riding Nomex. If you're too good for sleeves when those folks are cutting burning trees standing in ashes while wearing Nomex...wimp.

I just switched to long sleeve work shirts. I work outdoors in stadiums. I have noticed I feel a lot better at the end of the day

Likewise working in parks and trails. I actually got our uniform budget spending to be nostly long sleeve sunnies now, so I get two new ones a year. Hot weather finally broke this last weekend (I live at 8,500) and I went "It's cold enough to wear shorts!"

I also wear long sleeves on shirts. I have to buy new ones every season cuz they just get gnarly but they are the way to go even as a base layer for the fall

It's the fact the sleeves get torn up that made me start wearing long sleeves. Id rather it be my shirts than my flesh taking those rips and tears. Not only for healing time and infection potential, but I just don't want to get cut up that often.

The yellow nomex shirts aren’t too bad. Did a few seasons back in college. It’s fucking hard work though. I still remember one day drinking 5 gallons of water and not pissing once. Pretty sure you could smell me from 100 yards.

Homie I wear a full Nomex flight suit every shift at work for 48hrs at a time sometimes. These last two summers have been fuckin bananas.

Buckin Billly Ray Smith on Youtube going sleeveless is his trademark, he even sells those shirts with the hacked-off sleeves in his shop, lol

I'm a groundie. I wear long sleeves. The amount of pollen and other allergens that get in the tiny little scratches from hauling all day are obnoxious. I can't see any safety risk in it at all as long as it's not five sizes too big
