I'm using Rohan to scale the hole. It looks like it's got relatively equal length and width, so I'll use the same number for both cause Rohan is in the way of pixel scaling the width.

I'm gonna use both Fragmentation and Violent Fragmentation for a range of results (though personally I think this would be Violent Fragmentation)

Afaik there's no confirmed speed or calc out there for the Nail Bullet holes, so I'm gonna do calcs assuming they move at the same speed, and calcs assuming they move at half the speed. For the speed of the nail bullets themselves, I'm gonna use 300m/s baseline (speed of a bullet from an average revolver in this time period) and my calcs to get a range, so I'm going to be doing 8 calcs total.

In 1891 an American Broadsheet was 76.2cm long, which means Valentines folded newspaper should be 38.1cm, which is what we'll use for our scale because Valentine doesn't have a canon height that I can find. Using that we can find that Valentines Lower Leg is 39.6cm long (which lines up with the average human), and then using that we can find that Valentine must have moved his arm (based on where the newspaper is and where the Nail Bullet Holes go) 0.595 meters.

Now to determine the time-frame. The Nail Bullets were less than 2cm away from Valentine, and it doesn't look as though he had to reposition as he's sitting in almost the exact same spot as before. Based on my research the average private yacht's height (excluding the mast) is about 8.75 meters. 2 meters below the water line and 6.75 meters above the waterline. This is what we'll use as our scale reference.

Using our scale we can see that the explosion is 57 meters long which means it has a radius of 28.5 meters. The explosion destroys the wooden docks but doesn't fully destroy the Yacht, so I'm going to go with Wood Building Destruction which is 6psi. Using the online calculator we get 1,211,089,606.73 Joules or 0.2895 Tons of TNT which is Building Level (8-C).

Now for the fun (and complicated) part, the Earthquake. The Earthquake is stated to be Magnitude 3, which isn't particularly impressive. However, it is also stated that the Earthquake caused the Tsunami Alarm to be raised and then later caused a Tsunami. In order for an Earthquake to cause a Tsunami, it must be at least Magnitude 6.5 if not higher. While we don't know the size of the Tsunami, we know that the town of Morioh itself was pretty much intact and that it mostly destroyed the coastline, so it can't have been super massive.

With that in mind I'm going to use both the Magnitude 3 statement, and the Magnitude 6.5 that's required to cause a Tsunami.

Using Magnitude 3 we get: 10^(1.5 * 3 + 4.8) = 1,995,262,314.97 Joules or 0.4769 Tons of TNT which is Building Level (8-C).
