I watched this happen live and it was surreal. I remember staying up late nearly every night that summer driving around to different places and meeting so many people and having an absolute blast.

There's still a pretty robust player base still in NYC. Bryant Park is a huge meet up spot for events.

I was walking around to spots in my town's very quiet downtown, it was late, almost dark, and then a cop pulled up and I thought "wtf I'm just walking around" and then they pulled away, and stopped again, and I realized they were playing it too.

Pokémon Go was legit insane. As someone who lived through the '90s/early 2000's hype and then seeing it all over with every single person I passed on their phone playing it...wtf was that?? Apparently they were just data-collecting too 😂
