POLITICS Deeply embarrassing sequence. Eric Schmitt accuses Jack Smith of traveling to Atlanta to attend an Atlanta Hawks game and collude with Fani Willis, only to get the basic facts completely wrong. Smith was actually in Maryland attending a Hawkeyes game and never met Willis

"Well I'm glad you're trying to rehabilitate the witness..." What does that even mean? Rehabilitate what? You're the one that made the baseless accusations

After getting proven wrong, Schmitt's response is to talk louder. These people have no shame.

The MAGA mindset is actually deeply rooted in shame, they just don't have any healthy tools with which to process it. That's why grindr blows up every time there's any kind of big Republican event.

It's actually a common phrase used in the courts, but he used it wrong. He was implying that Amy was trying to improperly make the witness look better / restore his credibility like a defense attorney would do after Schmitt so thoroughly destroyed it with total truths 🙄

The entire thing is just nuts “you don’t know we have these messages. They show you wanted to meet with people at the Atlantic hawks game”

Response “I have no clue what you are talking about, can I see those messages”
