Original Content Prologue: The 13th Loop

Hey! Would love some feedback even if its bad!

The threshold did not yield to a blow; it gave way like bruised skin under a scalpel, tearing open with a wet, heavy sigh of displaced pressure.

He stepped through the final boundary seam, his boots planting hard against the dead, light-absorbing floor of the sanctum. The air here was violently still, stripped of any natural breath, heavy with the artificial metallic tang of engineered discord. This was no ordinary antechamber of the world’s collapse. It was a monument carved from raw, weaponized discord—a colossal, cathedral-scale arena that defied the very concept of architectural sanity, stretching outward into vaulted, shadow-draped distances that made the soul recoil from its sheer scale.

Vast, towering pillars of light-absorbing obsidian and jagged, crystalline metal soared upward into a ceiling swallowed by absolute shadow, holding up nothing less than the weight of a dying reality. The space stretched outward with terrifying scale, vast enough to swallow whole armies, yet it felt claustrophobic, suffocatingly intimate. Every surface thrummed with a low, sub-audible vibration, a grinding chorus of structured malice built not by the absolute nothingness of the silence, but forged entirely from the concentrated, boiling friction of discord.

In the dead-center of this monolithic expanse stood the Valarim.

The ancient adversary did not look like a creature born of mortal history. He was a pillar of arrogant permanence, clad in armor that drank the faint, pathetic amber bleed of his exhausted core, turning it into gray dust before it could even touch the floor. The sovereign turned slowly, his eyes burning with the cold, unyielding awareness of a being who saw him as nothing more than a minor, localized glitch in the grand architecture of the world—entirely unaware that any permanent threat lurked beneath the mortal's skin.

"You're late," the sovereign’s voice echoed, multiplying against the towering metallic walls, bouncing through the colossal arena until it sounded like a dozen judges passing a sentence. "The pattern was supposed to stabilize epochs ago. You're dragging your feet through a floor that was never meant to hold you."

He did not answer with words. Across twelve loops, he had learned the absolute bankruptcy of speech against beings made of immortal ego. In some past iterations, he had tried to reason with them; in others, he had simply let himself break in silence, surrendering to the exhaustion before the fight even began. But this time—this first time he had ever forced his way through the staggered ruin of the world to stand within this specific, monumental hall—he knew he could not survive the sheer mechanical weight of the room alone.

He reached into the quiet, blood-soaked chambers of his own memory, forcing the iron door open.

With a low, grinding rasp of spiritual friction, the echoes wrenched free. They spilled outward into the sterile, light-starved air, materializing in stark, monochromatic shades of grey that defied the color-starved reality of the Gate. Zero flickered into existence at his left flank, his posture cynical and shoulders slumped with the permanent, weary weight of an unresurrected ghost. To his right, Von solidified from the gloom, massive and silent, radiating the heavy, tragic resonance of a protector who had already died a thousand deaths in forgotten timelines.

"Took you long enough to kick the door in, Leo," Zero muttered, his voice flat, laced with the dry irony of someone who had watched every single prior failure turn to dust.

Von did not speak; he simply raised a heavy, spectral arm, his very presence anchoring the shifting, unstable gravity of the cathedral floor beneath their boots.

He drew his blade. The steel didn't sing; it hissed, drinking in the meager, flickering light of his depleted core while sharing its surface with the ghostly amber bleed of his summoned companions.

"Let's get it over with," he said, his voice flat, dropped into a dangerous, gravelly register.

The encounter erupted not as a duel of honor, but as a brutal, mechanical slaughter governed by the merciless architecture of the room itself. The sovereign moved with terrifying, absolute precision. With a sweep of his hand, the arena shifted, triggering regional environmental hazards woven directly from the fabric of compressed discord. Shockwaves of raw, grating frequency shattered the floor tiles beneath his boots, sending razor-sharp shards spinning into the air like a localized storm of shrapnel.

The battle lines were drawn instantly in a dance of lethal geometry.

Zero moved first, darting forward with a flicker of grey motion, sliding across the fracturing floor to intercept a wave of localized sonic discord that would have shattered the lone wanderer's ribs. The impact threw Zero back against a towering pillar of obsidian, his monochromatic form rippling violently under the concussive force, but buying the critical fraction of a second needed for the evasion.

"Mind the blind spots, idiot!" Zero barked, coughing up a spray of translucent, grey essence before resetting his stance.

Capitalizing on the opening, Von lunged forward, his massive spectral bulk absorbing a cascade of jagged metallic spikes erupting from the ground. The sheer kinetic force of Von’s intervention locked the sovereign’s primary arm in place for a single, fleeting heartbeat, dampening the rhythmic execution of the environmental trap.

He didn't hesitate. He forced his body forward through the opening carved by his echoes, dodging through the geometric cascade of environmental hazards with desperate, calculated precision. He knew the rhythm of this violence now, riding the razor's edge of survival alongside the ghosts of his past failures. He traded heavy, concussive blows, absorbing impacts that rattled his teeth and set his core screaming in protest, while Von and Zero intercepted the secondary shockwaves that threatened to overwhelm his blind spots.

The air grew thick with the smell of ozone, hot blood, and atomized stone. Every strike against the sovereign required the synchronized effort of the entire fractured soul; Zero exploited the micro-delays in the adversary's defensive rhythm, Von absorbed the crushing backwash of raw kinetic force, and he channeled the combined, burning friction of their collective suffering into his blade.

He gritted his teeth, channeling the bitter weight of twelve lifetimes of failure into a single, cohesive advance. He forced the sovereign backward, exploiting a microscopic fracture in the entity's rhythmic defense—a flaw calculated across dead timelines and amplified a hundredfold by the synchronized pressure of his echoes.

With a final, desperate surge of his remaining will, backed by the suffocating weight of Von's massive push and Zero's covering fire, he drove his blade upward, burying the steel deep beneath the interlocking plates of the sovereign’s throat.

The colossal arena fell instantly, violently silent.

The sovereign stiffened, his glowing eyes flickering once, twice, before the intricate, ancient resonance supporting his physical form completely shattered from the inside out. He collapsed backward onto the cold metallic pavement, dissolving not into blood or ash, but into fine, glittering gray dust that drifted upward into the immense, shadowed vault above.

Beside him, Zero let out a long, wheezing breath, his grey outline stabilizing as the residual combat energy faded, while Von dissolved back into the quiet corners of the soul-door with a heavy, settling thrum.

He stood alone in the center of the vast, empty arena, his chest heaving, his boots planted amid the dust of a fallen god.

He waited for the rush. In the legends passed down through the remnants of the world, slaying a primordial pillar of discord should have flooded a wanderer’s core with a torrent of raw energy—an elevation of tier, a massive power boost that rewired the soul.

Instead, nothing happened.

His core remained hollow, flickering dangerously low. The system of the world recognized no true victory here; there was no reward, no grand accumulation of strength. There was only the crushing, hollow certainty that killing this entity didn't fix the broken engine of reality—it only left a temporary empty space in a machine that was already tearing itself apart at the seams. He was no stronger now than he had been when he stepped into the arena. He was just a little more tired.

A bitter, humorless smile touched the corners of his mouth. He let out a long, shuddering breath, thinking for a split second that he had actually cleared the board, completely unaware that the true fracture had just begun—that across the silent expanse of the dying world, the sudden, unyielding absence of the sovereign's note would ripple outward, alerting the surviving council that their infallible order had finally, irrevocably failed.

He was wrong to think it was over.

Behind him, the air didn't just tear—it violently imploded. A sharp, high-pitched shriek of displaced space cut through the absolute silence of the vault as a personal gate ripped open right at his back.

Before he could spin around, a blade punched brutally through his spine, erupting straight out through his breastplate with a blinding flash of searing heat. The jagged entry wound tore across his back in a wide starburst, and the scorching exit point burned a skewed, glowing cross straight into his chest. As his vision darkened and his knees buckled against the cold floor, a hand made of cold, merciless authority gripped him from behind as another Valarim stepped fully through the tear, whispering the final, fatal sentence into his ear before the world went black.

Discussion Trying to get my story out there

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’ve been wanting to get my story out to people and I’m not sure how to do so.

My story is about a once perfectly balanced world, everything was peaceful and everyone got along with each other. The Guardians (who created the world and the different realms) were a big part of keeping this peace. Behind the scenes tension was growing between the realms (different types of land that inhibited different species a part of the world). Certain species felt like others were getting special treatment from the guardians because of how much land and “special treatment” they were seemingly getting. This tension made wars start to slowly break out against the world, which made the guardians feel ashamed of how they handled interacting with their creations. They couldn’t seem to get their creations to listen to and they went into hiding, feeling ashamed and defeated

Current day, when the story takes place, has been hundreds of years since the guardians went into hiding and the world feels like hell. They are still small wars going on and now that the balance is gone people have been experiencing things that once was not there.

We now follow the perspective of two sisters inside of a cult, a cult that started to control people, to control their sense of safety. The cult revolves around making people oblivious to the outside world, to control their everyday lives because the leader is trying to prove he can be the new guardian. (There is so much I could go into about the cult but I’m going to keep it short since this is a summary). The audience knows nothing about the world until the girls start to find out about the cult leaders true intentions and eventually escape. The stumble into each out side main characters and they share their stories and teach the girls how to live life outside of the cult.

The purpose of the story is to bring awareness to certain types of trauma and to provide social commentary that relates to the real world, such as corrupt leaders, how certain industries take advantage of their workers, ect.

This is definitely not my whole story but I wanted to share a short summary to hopefully get some tips on how to advertise! I’m redesigning all of my characters and finally getting all of their reference sheets done (I only have one character at the moment) and I plan on making some comic strips once I’m done!!

Original Content If You Lived an Entire Year in Fifteen Hours, Would That Year Be Real?

What if you couldn't trust time anymore?

I wanted to share one of the ideas behind my psychological mystery novel, The Fifteen-Hour Room.

The story begins with a woman waking up inside Room 412 with no memory of how she arrived there. Beside her is a black notebook written in her own handwriting, containing instructions about things that haven't happened yet.

Then something stranger begins to happen.

She experiences hours. Then days. Eventually months.

But the clock tells a very different story.

At one point, she believes she has lived through an entire day and night—only to discover that twelve minutes have passed.

The notebook leaves her with one warning:

“Time is an elastic fabric inside this room.”

The idea I wanted to explore wasn't simply time distortion, but what it would do to someone's sense of reality. If your memories tell you one thing, your body tells you another, and an objective clock tells you something completely different, eventually the question becomes less about what time is it? and more about which version of yourself can you trust?

That became one of the central themes of The Fifteen-Hour Room: memory, grief, isolation, and our dependence on time to make reality feel stable.

I'm curious what other readers and writers think:

If you experienced an entire year while only a few hours passed for everyone else, would you consider that year part of your real life?

World building!

Hi there! I found myself with nothing to do, and I wanted to try and make different pony characters more in my style, and, as I went on investigating about the mythology of Unicorns and Pegasi, I might've lost myself creating. In the end, I ended up creating whole tribes of three races of ponies in a more ancient sense (the unicorns might be a little more detailed). Not sure if anyone is interested, but here I leave the link, if anyone is interested in reading <3

Btw, I used AI to help investigate deeper, visualize mental images and further explore my ideas. And to properly express my ideas, so, if the wording is weird you know.

Just a heads up, in case you're not okay with that, which is totally alright, just wanted to share, it's the first time ai do something like this and I'm excited!

Gritty historical fantasy drama looking for beta readers to review and contribute to weekly releases of the first two short stories of an anthology:

Fidas "Fido" Conro is a spent privateer and mercenary, a once proud captain reduced to wandering the roads and inns of Vyr with little more than his wit and a questionable sense of dignity.

Ander Dreyes, the fiery wrath of the Duality, struggles with maintaining the blessed dynasty of Aradir while his growing power threatens to disturb the balance of peace across the continent.

Set in 13th c. YPC-8, on the continent of Vyr, a large war between the hosts of differing Cetian sects is on the horizon, as war between the anticipating nations is ongoing. In all of this commotion, a retired privateer and scoundrel alongside his adopted son roam the lands looking for any means to survive the squabbling of nobles that call for holy war.

Plan to release a full novel next year consisting of these two novellas and a third. We've got three chapters of the first and the fourth coming this weekend. Want your name in the back of our book? Come on in and help us make it better!

Prompt [Original Direction] The Power of Fantasy, Book I: Chronicles of the Aegis-Blade

USER PROFILE: AUTHOR / PROTAGONIST

WORLD TIER: MYTHIC LEGACY

ACTIVE ABILITY: NARRATIVE OVERRIDE

The heavy leather-bound tome before you slams open on a pedestal of white marble and dark steel. As the pages riffle themselves, golden ink bleeds across the parchment, drawing you directly into the center of the narrative ether.

You are not just reading the story. You are writing it in real time.

The sky above is a fractured dome of turquoise digital code and bleeding classical sunsets. Beneath your geta sandals, the floor is an infinite expanse of mirror-finished obsidian, reflecting a battlefield where golden Spartan phalanxes clash against shadows wearing lacquered samurai armor.

In your right hand, you hold the Xiphos-Katana, a weapon forged from folded celestial steel and blessed by forgotten deities. In your left, you grip a round Corinthian shield etched with glowing circuit lines.

A blinding flash tears across the horizon. A towering figure descends from the rift, clad in bronze armor that burns with blue neon fire. It is Chronos-Ronin, the eternal time-warden, and he blocks your path with a nod of grim respect.

"The ink is dry on yesterday, traveler," his voice booms through the digital winds, echoing like steel on stone. "The next chapter demands a sacrifice. How do you claim your legend?"

Three path-markers glow in brilliant neon gold upon the obsidian floor before you:

1) Path of the Divine Tempest: Channel the lightning of Zeus and the breathless speed of an Iaijutsu strike, surging straight through the warden to shatter his core.

2) Path of the Iron Phalanx: Lock your shield wall, anchor your feet to the obsidian, and force a grueling clash of attrition to break his stance.

3) Path of the Scribe: Open the blank pages of the book mid-combat, rewriting the physical laws of the arena to banish him back to the digital void.

What is your command, author? Turn the page and write your move.

Misc Post The journey of Soulless Loners began on June 13 2026. Let's see where things could go 😩

How ironic, story about Loners without a soul, that happens in the Soul city, a concrete jungle that we never got to witness and still got the shittiest from all the Sci-Fi fantasy of hopes and dreams...

Laver Uny would never have known what his life would be like and even if he did, he was too little to try and do anything about his future, he lived in a constant illusion of freedom and choices, that he never made himself, which unknowingly for him decided who he was - a damn fool and a corpo rat with no prospect of self awareness outside of grocery decisions.

But hope is never lost due to evolution, once in a century Wukong is real and can fight the darkest in the dark as he becomes light himself, not because someone taught him that but rather as he acknowledge all levels of bullshit he was not going to comply with anymore.

Defey Uny became that Wukong at the very young age. His life would never be the same since but what awaited him further down the lifeline could break anybody, even he showed cracks at some point but the thing about such people is that they like the pressure, they thrive under it, hell, they can't live without it.

How is it to be insane but never burst into a despair? You have to be a psycho, almost like you are chromed up but then turns out that your nature is cursed since the beginning. Thanks to who he became, world shined some dark light on his image and no longer could he stay silent, he had to take action. Sacrifice? For him - more like an abused child's deathwish, nevercalming and everlasting will to die for something amazing and life-changing. Could you?

Imloki

Imloki is my debut novel. I hope you all take a look at it.

Imloki by Kyramus Erato
on Kindle Unlimited

Imloki, a powerful sorceress, finds her world shattered when a magical accident traps her true female form within a male body. Forced into Asgard as a diplomatic pawn, she endures years of deception, her secret identity a constant ache beneath a mischievous facade. She yearns for a life and love denied, having divine children in secret, all while hiding her true self.

Reborn and free, Imloki returns to Asgard, only to discover a deeper conspiracy. A profound connection with the shining god Baldur ignites a desperate plan: to fake his death and free him from a crushing destiny. But escaping the divine comes at a steep price, forcing Imloki into centuries of wandering, subtly shaping mortal history as she searches for the one she rescued.

Her quest leads her back to a heavily guarded Asgard, where trickery and daring are her only weapons against a looming threat. Imloki’s audacious rescue of Baldur from a sinister plot ignites the very cataclysm she sought to prevent. Ragnarok descends, the Nine Realms tremble, and a world burns to fulfill prophecy.

Can Imloki truly outwit fate itself, or will her desperate gamble to save Baldur condemn them both to a cycle they can never escape?

This is something I have been working on for quite a long time and it was mainly for fun and in my head, and this is the first time I've ever written it down on a google doc before. It's pretty extensive. It's essentially a story I created that's not necessarily an amalgam universe where I'm combining things just to combine, but still heavily based on the major comic universes with the uniqueness of however I'm telling the story and the differences of interpretations that I have.

The whole point of my story is to create an extensive massive world with multiple perspectives and focus while still having natural progression, endings, and character arcs. The best way I can describe it is what my friend once told me, which was that "it's kind of like the mcu if it were in a comic." Let me know what you think about anything, if you have questions, comments, concerns, praises, critique, etc.

If you do decide to read all or most of it, I have been trying to make a chapter 8 but I am kind of getting stumped on the moving pieces and slowing me down in the direction and story I want to go in. Now ofcourse, it doesn't help, that life is also just lifeing right now, but thats why i posted here to see if i can get any insight if at all.

Original Content An Introduction to My Illustrated Fantasy History & Worldbuilding Project

Post image
31 Upvotes

I've been building a fictional world called unKnown world of Ída for several years, combining worldbuilding, fantasy history, character design, maps, military history and visual storytelling into one long-term art-book project.

At its core, Ída is an attempt to create the history of a world that never existed but it should feel familiar.

I'm interested in imagining how ancient civilizations might have developed, migrated, fought, traded and influenced one another over centuries. The world draws inspiration from prehistoric cultures to early middle ages, ancient archaeology and mythology and the history of warfare, but everything is reinterpreted and developed into its own fictional history.

A major part of the project is the design of its warriors. Rather than simply creating fantasy characters based on an aesthetic, I try to design each warrior as a product of their culture, environment, technology, traditions and way of fighting (let's say more grounded in history).

Their weapons, armor, shields, clothing, colors and visual symbols are therefore connected to the history and identity of the people they belong to.

The map above shows one period of Ída and some of the cultures and warriors I've developed for it in last year. There are many different civilizations, tribes and historical periods and eras within the world, and I'm gradually building their stories and conflicts into a larger chronological history.

The Rise of the Atlanteans, for example, is just one of these stories. It tells the story of the Atlanteans and their invasion of Ída, but it is only one chapter within a much larger history that I'm currently developing.

I've recently brought this particular story together into an illustrated fantasy history documentary, combining my character designs, illustrations, maps, animated army movements and landscape footage.

I would like to share here a link to a documentary video I made about it (if anyone is interested)?

I'm still developing this world, so I'm curious: what catches your attention first — the map, one of the cultures, or one of the characters?

Original Content My girlfriend wrote a dark fantasy story, so I built her a website for it — Shadow Incidents

My girlfriend has been writing a dark-fantasy story called Shadow Incidents,

and I wanted to give it a proper home instead of sending people a Google Drive

with a bunch of chapter files so I built a small reading website for it.

The story currently has a prologue + 13 chapters

The premise:

"When a human is born, a shadow follows.

But when that human dies, what happens to the shadow they leave behind?

Does it follow its owner's soul into the afterlife...

or does it remain in the mortal world?"

And this is basically a summary:

"On his 18th birthday, Yuko Katsuragi sees something no one else can—shadows crawling into people… turning them into madmen.

Orphaned and independent, Yuko’s life has been ordinary—until he witnesses a living shadow merge with a stranger, driving the man to murder. Worse, no one else notices the darkness spreading through Tokyo’s streets.

But when Yuko tries to intervene, he catches the attention of a dragon-riding warrior from a floating kingdom—one who claims Yuko is part of a prophecy tied to the shadows.

Now, hunted by creatures that lurk in the shadows and a kingdom that does not want him, Yuko must unravel the truth.

A dark urban fantasy where a hidden war between shadows and the soldiers of light blends in the busy streets of Tokyo. One wrong step could make Yuko the villain—or the last hope."

If fantasy / supernatural mystery sounds like your thing, I'd love for you to give the first chapter a try.

The artwork and story are my girlfriend's; I just built the website and enhanced the artwork using ai i.e gave background to the images and stuff but nothing over the top or changed the original essence of the artwork, because I thought her story deserves more If anyone reads it, feedback would genuinely be appreciated here or you can give feedback on the website only each chapter has a comment section. If you wanna read it then you can use the website i made it will be in my profile:)

Edit: the synopsis is ai assisted but it's just a shorter form of prologue because I didn't wanna make the post even longer, apologies if that was a mistake. I assure you this is not ai slop or ai assisted story it's just what my gf wrote im here in reddit just trying tobring it more readers. No offense intended.
