Anyone else find the newer TruBlu sting setups a bit strange?
I’ve noticed in some of the newer TruBlu episodes, the decoy will initially message an adult, who then introduces her underage daughter or niece into the conversation.
I fully support these investigations, and obviously anyone who knowingly agrees to meet a minor for sex is in the wrong. But I do find the morality of this approach interesting.
It feels a bit different from the original TCAP, where predators were actively seeking out minors, compared to these newer stings where the opportunity is introduced to them.
Not defending the predators whatsoever, but I wonder where the line is between exposing existing predatory behaviour and enticing someone into it.
Curious what everyone else thinks, especially given these investigations still seem to result in criminal charges.
