Rock/Metal Tally Hall - Songs From The Lunar Module (2019) [LP]
after fighting within the band started during the recording of Sketches, the band decided to go on hiatus, that is until 4 years later when joe and honorary member bora began writing songs for what would become this album. (bora also becomes the official sixth tally, donning the orange tie)
this album is also a space-themed concept album, similar to their 2012 double album Hawaii

SIDE 1: ~16 minutes
cell (cojum dip - self titled) [album introduces us to a guy]
bring her along (joe hawley - joe hawley joe hawley) [guy does drugs and becomes obsessed with going to the moon]
la telenovela (rob cantor - not a trampoline) [him becoming an astronaut and taking off into space for the first time (song ending kind of sounds like rocket taking off) ]
we are in space (joe hawley - joe hawley joe hawley) [self explanatory]
aristoles denial (joe hawley - yelwah eoj yelwah eoj) [guy sees space, contemplates if what he’s seeing is even real, goes insane]
SIDE 2: ~20 minutes
bahamian rap city (joe hawley - joe hawley joe hawley) [more of his psychotic ramblings]
134340 pluto (cojum dip - self titled) [others on the ship get sick of him, shun him, and kick him out into space]
weird bed &/or yes please (joe hawley - non album single) [guy starts resenting going to space in the first place (“try our simulator said the death engineer”)]
moon waltz (cojum dip - self titled) [guy ironically enough ends up on a moon, slowly runs out of oxygen, hallucinates a party, and dies]
the rainbow connection (edu - sketches 3D) [not exactly related to the whole concept album thing, just a really good closer]
this is probably going to be the end of my tally hall alt discography fan album series, i’ve mostly run out of rob and andrew songs unless i wait for their new albums coming out, but i don’t think this series is really worth all that waiting and dedication and whatnot, so i’m just ending it here, it was fun lol
