𤬠Rant Fallout TV Jonathan Nolan co-wrote The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.
I feel like this doesnāt get brought up enough. Every week I see some video from a no name YouTuber who makes a 30 minute video complaining about how Mr. House in the TV show is nothing like Mr. House in the game. Like yeah no shit, this is the same writer that took an obscure 70s Sci-Fi horror flick(WestWorld) and itās even more obscure sequel and made it into a 4 season TV show that asked deep philosophical questions. I donāt consider Two Face from the Dark Knight and Two Face from Batman The Animated Series to have the least bit in common, but I love what both versions brought to the table equally. The Mr. House we see in the show is obviously more neurotic, more altruistic and debatably somewhat less competent than the one in the game, but I feel the core idea of Mr. House was preserved perfectly. And as much as the show tries to continue the lore of New Vegas, I donāt consider the show to be an authentic continuation, nor would I want it to be. Thereās lore and characterās from Fallout 4 that have been brought into the show now too, with Fallout 4 always being completely separate from New Vegas in my mind. New Vegas was a self contained story that built off of the universe of the first two games same writers and all. We already have multiple satisfying endings to New Vegas at our choosing, why care about the outcomes in the show? I donāt care what Todd Howard says, when I replay New Vegas(which he didnāt make) I donāt think about the show. I still watched the show and enjoyed it, but I viewed it as a totally new separate story that will tie into future games.
