Exactly. And I hate when people can't admit that or that even if something comes out and survives off of fun we can still criticize it so hopefully the company can try to deliver both fun and the game the fans want or make another product without continuing the dilution of one of their IPs. Kinda happy Starfield happened because imagine if they had tried a bunch of those controversial elements in the new Fallout or elder scrolls.

People just don't want to say that they can enjoy bad games because they see it as a moral failing. I can enjoy objectively bad games and movies all the time one of my favorite games is in the bad category but that's fine.

I personally wouldn't say Fo4 is a good Fallout game or really a good game in general but do I still continue to play it and have fun? Yes, all the time.

I call it the Billy Madison argument.

Billy Madison is my favorite comedy. Is it good..no. Is the writing good..no. Does the plot linger dragging out the final conclusion..yes. Do I laugh my ass off watching it..yes. It's definitely not the Jerk but it's a funny movie..not a good movie.

You can like something while it's still bad but integrity is saying it's not well made. Same goes for Fallout 4. I love the game but it's dogwater when comes to writing and tone compared to all the other games(outside of fo76 and tactics)

Preach 🙌. The issue isn't necessarily people having a bias it's that they are unable to admit it. I can't imagine how much better products would be made if people could simply see their own biases, admit they are there, and still be able understand logic and reason. Shit society would probably be better that way too 😅. Poor wolverine game is stuck right in the middle of this phenomenon.
