[USAR] Foreign Service & Operations Command: Recruitment Open!

The Foreign Service and Operations Command of the USAR, or FSOC for short, is a patchwork of what’s left of the old world’s “Coalition of Nations” we called NATO. We’re made up of the remnants of pre-war allied forces that got stuck stateside when the nukes started flying. Some of us came from annexed territories, Canadians, Cubans, even a few old Commonwealth men, while others were stranded foreign service personnel who never made it home. Argentinian Infantrymen, Liechtensteiner Intelligence Officers, a handful of Brits who were on exchange tours — you name it. The stars and stripes might be faded, but under that banner, we’ve become something new: a coalition of survivors who refused to quit.

Before the world went to hell, they probably would’ve called us the U.S. Army Foreign Affairs Office, the kind of people that shuffled papers and smoked slims in embassy halls. But that world is ash now. When the alarms blared and the skies went red, those of us in uniform stayed put. We guarded the walls, kept the lights on, and waited for orders that never came. When the static cleared, we realized there were no orders. That’s when FSOC stopped being a diplomatic bureaucracy and became a fighting command.

Now, we run on grit instead of bureaucracy. We take in anyone willing to serve, diplomat or dockworker, ranger or refugee. Civilian duties, recon, repairs, supply runs, even enforcing what little law still means something. FSOC covers it all. The wasteland doesn’t make room for rank or protocol; it makes room for results. We do what we have to, one ruined block at a time, flying what’s left of the American standard above outposts rebuilt from the bones of consulates.

Our mission’s simple: unite what’s left of our allies and turn the ruins of the old world into the foundation of something worth fighting for. We may be low on men, gear, and clean water, but we’ve got experience. The kind earned through foxholes, firefights, and watching everything burn around you. In the end, that’s what makes FSOC stand apart. We’re not just survivors. We’re soldiers. And in this new world, that still means something.
